I interrupted Majors deep sleep and then he refused to make eye contact with me. 😂 All of us really enjoyed the warm sun today.

It was 9:30-10ish PM last night when I decided I wanted a glass of chocolate milk but realized we had no chocolate syrup.

So I whipped up some chocolate syrup for the first time. Most of the time when I do stuff it’s not because I’m this over zealous person or anything like that but because I simply wanted a glass of chocolate milk and already had pajamas on and this was the “easier” alternative. 😂😂

1 1/2 cups of water
1 cup of cocoa powder
1 1/2 cup sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Medium heat & stir until combined and then remove from heat.
About 10 minutes is what it took me.

As soon as I got home I broke up the ice on everyone’s water again (I did first thing this morning before leaving at 6:30am but the donkeys aren’t very early risers lol) - I thought the donkeys were all coming to see me but they actually only wanted water. 😂😂

**their water isn’t dirty I added some extra stuff to it to try and get them to drink more water, they hardly drink anything sometimes and I get worried about them.🥴🤦🏼‍♀️

I LOVE how much raw milk is readily available around us! For those of you who don’t know I used to be ‘lactose intolerant’ until I found raw milk 1.5 - 2 year ago.
Now I can drink as much raw milk as my heart desires and I even make my own butter with the cream & ice cream at home!

I love their phrase

Today’s weather was exactly what I/the farm animals needed!
I spent the majority of my day outside and it wasn’t even miserable. 😂

This morning when the sun popped out and it was so warm I took all of the donkeys blankets off so they could enjoy the sunshine on their backs.

Then I brushed everyone out and finally was able to brush the briars out of Lady’s mane.

A few stubborn water containers that just kept building ice I finally got broken loose.

After a hard winter for us I feel like spring is coming soon and I can’t wait. 🙌🏽

The girls love being scratched, especially their bellies. 😂 It’s crazy to me how big they’ve gotten and knowing I carried them around in my arms when we first brought them home. 🐽

Lucy & Maddie are the most obsessed with me. 😂 Any time I’m in the pasture and they have an opportunity to put their head on my shoulder they do. I love them 🤍

Twice in one day, really? 🤦🏼‍♀️ I guess the donkey pasture isn’t cow proof so back into the main pasture you go.

This is going in the record books as the EASIEST time putting a cow back in the pasture especially by myself 😂🙌🏽 This is what I came out to when I went to do morning chores.

Hershey, Valentine & Iris all stick together. It’s crazy how similar Valentine and Iris look! That red gene is definitely strong in Hershey 😂

3am Hershey check. No calf THANKFULLY. Yes I’m half asleep & frozen. 🥶😂

When it’s -4 degrees here and we’re all miserable…except Izzy. 🤦🏼‍♀️She’s literally having the time of her life. *don’t come at me for the tie out, she’s only on it when I’m not outside with her because she likes to go play in the road any chance she gets and I don’t want to be scraping her off of the road mmmkay 😉

My phone says is -4 but it definitely feels colder than that. 🙃 We’re all sick of it. 😂

Warming up in the barn with little check in the middle of chores 🥶 I can’t handle being out there for more than 20 minutes at a time! Be safe everyone.
