I am having a knee replacement on August 20th. I will be unavailable from about the 13th on. When I’m back to work will depend on my healing. But if you call for appointments rather than being on my regular schedule please keep this is mind.

FYI. Bats are our friends but be cautious. Make sure those rabies shots are up to date on all pets. Even indoor kitties. When I worked as a vet tech we had a client who had a strictly indoor cat and they found her playing with a bat in the house.

Got to groom this very good boy today. I wasn’t sure what I was going into as mom asked if I had muzzles and how I am with dogs that don’t like grooming. He did have a couple of triggers that weren’t hard to figure out, but he was as good as he could be otherwise and we will work on trust with those triggers. Growing out those giant darling ears.

As the temperature rises owners of fur bearing breeds begin to realize their pets are hot. Mistakenly, many think that clipping these breeds down will help them be cooler. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
This time of year it's common to see these breeds 'blowing coat', meaning that massive amounts of undercoat are shed out at once. However, clipping is not the answer. Instead your professional groomer can remove that crazy amount of undercoat and help keep it in check year round.
This allows the coat to properly perform it's job of keeping the body cooler. The attached undercoat works like insulation keeping cooler air near the body while the guard coat reflects heat away. But when loose undercoat is not properly removed it impedes the coat from doing it's task.
Professional groomers provide so much more than a haircut. Talk to your groomer about booking an appointment for your fur bearing breed to keep them comfortable year round!

Big announcement. Many of you already know but I will be leaving Washington the middle of March. I am leaving for an incredible opportunity.

I thank you all for your incredible support over the last 2+ years and will miss you and your fur friends.

I am asking any of my clients that have recommendations for other groomers to drop them here. A name that has come up a few times is Blondies out towards ocean shores.

Hi all. I think I have sent out all the schedules. Please check them as my phone has been glitching and will show an appointment that’s not there on my end but shows up in the screen shot. Or this morning one showed on my end and did not appear in the screen shot I sent. I don’t know what’s going on with that but because it shows correctly on my end there isn’t anything for me to check.

Many people have already signed up. That means appointments will be harder to find, and wait times for “will call” clients will be even longer than they are currently.

If you’ve called or texted and I haven’t responded I am sorry. I am super overwhelmed right now. My husband just had emergency surgery and he’s supposed to be helping me with working because of the knee. I may end up having to cancel some appointments coming up.

The date for my knee replacement is set for May 8th. My schedule is completely full from now until then. I am setting up tentative appointments six weeks after my surgery (no guarantee when I'll be released to work) for existing clients only. Not taking any new clients until I'm back to 100% sorry. I prefer text or messaging here on Facebook vs phone calls for scheduling. Phone is fine, I just can't guarantee a super timely reply after surgery.
