Hello Everyone! We’ve been closed the last 2 days because of the snow.

My little one Buttercup won’t potty in the snow. So I shoveled the snow first then sprinkled straw in a potty area for her. Works like a charm! Plus it makes clean up a breeze!

Thank you all for your kind words, gratuities, Holiday gifts, and treats! You are all such wonderful clients and I hold you and your dogs very close to my heart. I love them all like my own. I mean EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOUR DOGS!

Remember your pet can get stressed this time of year just like you and may need a space for decompression during guest visits. Please be mindful.

Poinsettia’s and chocolate are poisonous! Keep out of your pet’s way.

Please make sure id tags on collars are current and Air Tags are charged. Please make sure microchip companies have current contact info as well! You don’t want a lost pet during the winter!

This Thursday in Benton Park!

Introducing our next Spay/Neuter Mobile Event, taking place THIS THURSDAY, 11/14, in Benton Park. This program is intended for families who cannot afford to have their beloved pets spayed or neutered at this time. Spaces are limited, sign up by emailing [email protected].
This month's event is generously sponsored by our very own REP Team! Our Rehabilitation Enrichment Program team is made up of volunteers who very generously donate their time to enriching the lives of those who wait for their forever home. They come to the shelter often to take dogs to parks, for car rides, take them home for a few hours, throw birthday parties for them. They also do fun things to make our dogs feel extra special like trick or treating, gifts from Santa, and more! They are unstoppable, and now they have pooled their funds together to save lives. AWESOME!!

Hello friends and clients! I just wanted to let you know I “did a thing.” You know I have a soft spot in my heart for seniors and Pugs…🥰

Please welcome Buttercup! 🌼💛 I adopted her on Monday! She is a senior Pug that was in a shelter and completely scared out of her mind. They said she wouldn’t eat or drink and just sat in the concrete kennel in the corner and shook. She needed a home asap. I called and they picked ME!

My Mom and I went on Monday (I spoke to the shelter on Sunday) to drive 4 hours to a small town in Illinois to get her. A volunteer met us halfway! I was so grateful! They waived her adoption fee but I donated money anyway.

Buttercup is 11 and her Mom was losing her home. Heartbreaking. I wish I could find her to tell her Buttercup is safe and loved. Or give her back when she gets on her feet again. I can tell Buttercup was VERY LOVED. She’s adorable, well behaved, friendly, very sweet and an absolute love. She’s blubbery and looks like a Pugtato. 🥰🥔

I loved her from the moment I saw her picture. ❤️

I am sharing with you her shelter picture and pictures when we first met. She’s been with Heston and I for about 27 hours and Heston loves her. If you see her waddling around at the salon, she’s very friendly and inqusitive. I hope you enjoy! ❤️
