When shelters are forced to post that they're completely full, it's a reminder that the pet overpopulation crisis is very real.

Our shelter is F-U-L-L!!
We need your help! Puppies, adults, cats, medical…we have someone for everyone! We’re on a rescue freeze and this evening someone dumped this sweet mama down by our warehouse. Myra sang to her sweetly while Noah was able to get a leash on her. She’s a recent mother and it shatters our hearts to wonder where her puppies could be. Hopefully they are treated better than she was 😔

🐾 We are excited to announce the “Fix Your Pit” program, offering FREE spay/neuter surgery for pit bulls and pit bull mixes at our St. Louis clinic. Dogs participating in the program may also receive FREE vaccinations, microchipping, flea prevention, and a nail trim at the time of surgery. No income requirements!

Churchette visited us recently to be spayed, and after surgery she settled in for a cozy nap while our team monitored her recovery. We wish her all the best as she continues healing at home. 🐱❤️

🐾 A big thank you to VEG ER for Pets for their generous donation of cat and dog food to our Community Pet Food Pantry!

One of the most common barriers we see pet owners face is a temporary need for pet food assistance. By helping families through a difficult time, we can often prevent pets from being surrendered to overcrowded shelters and keep them where they belong: at home with the people who love them. ❤️

🐾 Everyone needs a safe place sometimes. Being held close can help nervous pets feel more comfortable, and judging by this sweet face, we'd say it was exactly what this tiny patient needed. 🐶

We are incredibly grateful for the veterinarians who make our mission possible every single day: Dr. Kris Clements, Dr. Amy Kreutzer, and Dr. Erin Loomis in St. Louis, and Dr. Jessie Melton in Rolla. Whether they're performing surgery or providing wellness care, their compassion and dedication help pets stay healthy and with the families who love them.
