𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗴𝗶𝗿𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 — could YOU be the one to show her? 🩵

Meet Doja! This gorgeous 1-year-old, 49-pound bully girl has the most beautiful merle coat!

Doja was being advertised on a free pet rehoming site, and we knew we didn’t want to see her end up in the wrong hands. Thankfully, one of our amazing foster heroes stepped up and opened their home to give her a chance at a better life. ❤️

It’s clear sweet Doja hasn’t had the easiest start. She’s a scared girl who is learning to trust, discovering that the world isn’t so scary, and figuring out that not all humans will let her down.

💕 𝗔 𝗙𝗘𝗪 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗦 𝗪𝗘’𝗩𝗘 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗘𝗗:

🐾 1 year old, 49 pounds
🐾 Dog friendly
🐾 Did well meeting her foster’s 7-year-old child
🐾 Reportedly cat friendly
🐾 Crate trained
🐾 Working on leash walking and building confidence

We were told Doja spent much of her young life in a crate. Now she’s discovering cozy beds, couches, and what it’s like to have people who are patient and kind. Loud noises still scare her, but she’s making progress every day.

Her vaccines and spay are scheduled for November 11th.

Doja will need a patient family who understands that trust takes time and will let her blossom at her own pace. We can’t change the beginning of her story, but we can make sure the rest is filled with love. ❤️

𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬: Tigger was found wandering North Broadway, clearly underweight, sick, covered in urine, and having bloody diarrhea 😭

Lucky for him a good samaritan saw something, said something, and DID something by bringing him to safety at our local shelter. Even luckier for him, one of our foster 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀 saw his stripes and big beautiful brown eyes and opened their home 🏡

He is such goofy and GOOD boy who is eager to love and please. He’s going to make a fantastic addition to one lucky family…Could it be yours? 👀

This handsome boy is Graham, a 2-year-old, 65–70 lb Pitty mix who is ready to leave his stray days behind and find his forever family! 🩵

Graham came to the St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center as a stray and unfortunately tested positive for heartworm. Thankfully, a foster hero stepped up, and Graham was able to complete his treatment in a loving home. His last injection was July 16, and now he’s 𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥! 🥳

We are SO excited to introduce our November Rescue of the Month — Unleashed Potential Animal Rescue!🐶❤️

Unleashed Potential is a local, 501(c)(3), foster-based, bully-focused dog rescue serving St. Charles County and the greater St. Louis area.

Their mission is one we absolutely love — believing that every dog has potential waiting to be unleashed!🐾

As a smaller, entirely volunteer-run rescue, they focus on giving each dog the individualized love, care, and attention they need to thrive and find their forever home. Every dollar raised goes directly toward medical care, vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, and everyday necessities for the dogs in their care. ❤️

⛈️🐾 𝗪𝗘𝗟𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗨𝗣, 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗠! 🐾❤️

Storm is a 2-year-old, 52.6 lb chunky, low-rider bully who deserves her second chance! 🥹

Storm was surrendered to a shelter after her family welcomed a baby and moved somewhere that didn’t allow her breed. In LESS THAN 7 DAYS, euthanasia was being considered because she was so terrified that staff couldn’t get her leashed and out of her kennel. That is how quickly some dogs decline in a shelter environment. 💔

Once she was out of that environment, we got to see a different side of her! She was sweet, just scared. Now she’s showing off her fun, loving personality, and she’s had no issue being leashed.

⛈️ 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗠’𝗦 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗚𝗜𝗥𝗟 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦:
🏡 Crate trained & potty trained
🎾 LOVES playing ball
🦴 Knows her basic commands
🐕 Non-reactive to dogs and has done well meeting dogs so far

This is why shelter behavior doesn’t always tell the whole story. ❤️ Sometimes, fear keeps a dog from showing who they really are.

And this is where FOSTERS can be life-changing! A safe home gives dogs the chance to decompress, feel secure, and let their personalities shine. Storm’s journey gets to continue because someone said YES. 🥹
