HIS 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬: Before he came to us, Debo spent his entire life on a chain in a backyard. Through the heat. Through the cold. Never knowing what it felt like to be loved.
But one neighbor saw what Debo was going through — and refused to look away. That one phone call to animal control changed everything.
He came to us from Granite City Animal Control — heartworm positive, but full of heart. He fought through treatment like the champ he is, and today? He is completely back to normal activity.
He is a hunk of ham, but he has the biggest heart and cutest face! He would love to have a 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗵is 𝗼𝘄𝗻!

IT’S FOSTER FRIDAY — and one open home can change everything. 🐾

One of the biggest rescue facts people don’t always realize is this: a foster home doesn’t just help one dog — it helps us save the next one, too. Every time a dog moves into foster, it opens space and resources for another animal who needs out.

Fostering also teaches us so much about a dog in a real home setting — how they rest, play, learn, love, and what kind of family will be the very best fit for them. That information can make all the difference in finding the right forever home.

Some dogs need a soft place to land.
Some need a break from kennel stress.
Some just need one person to say, “You can stay with me until your people find you.”

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, this is your sign. You do not have to be perfect. You just have to be willing to make room, show patience, and help a dog take the next step toward home.

She has now been 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 3 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔) 😭 She may need to be your only pet, but she is EASY! She promises to be your personal shadow, loyal companion, and love you unconditionally 💜🙏
THERE HAS TO BE SOMEONE WITHOUT OTHER PETS THAT WANTS A LOW-KEY LOVERGIRL??? Please share her 🙏

• ~8yr old 60lb narwhal 🦄
• doubles as a weighted blanket
• potty & crate trained ✔️
• still PLAYFUL! loves fetch, her bones, and zoomies
• SNUGGLE BUG 🐛 loves to curl up next to (or on) you and under the covers 🥰
• SMART! She knows: “come”, “sit”, & “shake”
• will do anything for broccoli and cheese 🥦🧀
• needs to be the only pet in the home (she wants all the love!)

Due to her rough start, Jenny would prefer to be your 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝘁 to soak up all the love 💜 She is a little nervous of new people but after some treats, she will cuddle up in your lap whether she fits or not 🥹😆

𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬: Jenny was sold on a street corner and brought to our local shelter emaciated, missing patches of hair everywhere, clearly mistreated, with actively nursing puppies 😭
A 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼 opened their home and have been showing her what love is ever since ❤️‍🩹🥹 She has doubled her weight (from 30-60lbs), physically cannot get close enough for snuggles, and proudly carries her stuffies around the house 🦴

❤️ 𝗔𝗗𝗢𝗣𝗧 𝗧𝗜𝗚𝗚𝗘𝗥 🧡🐯 loves playing with ball, but what he’d love even more is a forever family to call his own. 🤎🐾

𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬: Tigger was found wandering North Broadway, clearly underweight, sick, covered in urine, and having bloody diarrhea 😭

Lucky for him a good samaritan saw something, said something, and DID something by bringing him to safety at our local shelter. Even luckier for him, one of our foster 𝗳𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗲𝘀 saw his stripes and big beautiful brown eyes and opened their home 🏡

He is such goofy and GOOD boy who is eager to love and please. He’s going to make a fantastic addition to one lucky family…Could it be yours? 👀

Snort got some tough news with her heartworm diagnosis, but she’s taking it like a champ. Now she just needs a family to cheer her on through recovery❤️‍🩹🏡
