Sunday mornings are always a good day to zoom out and analyze the week. Take a look at everything that was accomplished. Set your goals for the coming week. As a small business owner (who has no training in business 😂) I probably need to start making more checklists and writing out weekly goals . Till now it’s all just a mental checklist , but it’s getting too much these days! For example, this week I (personally) will be running payroll, managing affiliates , ordering animal supplies, ordering feeders, ordering shipping supplies, finalizing which enclosure batches to make for the next 8 weeks, new enclosure designs, managing wholesale accounts, building out the reptile room website, managing new box designs for packaging , updating inventory , studying and filming for YouTube (sounds dumb but it’s been taking up a lot of time to learn what works) and much more . So much goes into running a business I didn’t know about. Running a business is rewarding, but you have to be ready to wear lots of hats and put out a lot of fires. If you’d like to learn more about how to start your own business or anything business related , I do enjoy talking about it. Let me know, I’d like to gage interest.

I need to do a hard count but I think we are up to 60 species of animals at and That’s another beast. Optimal animal care takes an insane amount of work and that couldn’t be done without the amazing team at the Reptile Room. I mean , I’ll take the credit for making good hires lol 😂 .
