I most certainly had a wonderful training session today with Buddy! This 1 year old mixed breed has so much energy and was a joy to work with. He reminded me so much of my own “kids” so I brought him a toy that I knew he could not destroy. Best part of the training session, I was reunited with a family from a former school I worked at…and someone let those children get older!🤣💙🐧 Looking forward to next time!

AIR QUALITY- HAZARDOUS! STAY INDOORS! QUICK BATHROOM TRIPS ONLY!

With the Canadian & Minnesota wildfires currently affecting air quality across our region, it is important to remember that smoke can impact the health of pets and other animals as well as people. Animals with heart or respiratory conditions are especially vulnerable and should be monitored closely during periods of poor air quality.

Symptoms to watch out for:
- Coughing or gagging
- Difficulty breathing, including open mouth breathing and increased noise when breathing
- Eye irritation and excessive watering
- Inflammation of throat or mouth
- Nasal discharge
- Asthma-like symptoms
- Increased breathing rate
- Fatigue or weakness
- Disorientation or stumbling
- Reduced appetite and/or thirst

Some helpful tips to protect your pets:
- Keep your pets inside as much as possible, and keep your windows shut.
- Let your pets outside only for brief bathroom breaks if air quality alerts are in effect.
- Avoid any intense outdoor exercise during periods of poor air quality. Exercise pets when dust and smoke has settled.
