From our first litter from Brody and Miss Maddie. Wonderful puppies who went to select homes to have such great and fulfilling lives. I will forever be indebted to these people who loved these beautiful beings so well.
In Loving Memory of Jojo
November 30, 2012 – July 10, 2025
Today, we said goodbye to Jojo — our beloved black standard poodle, our shadow, our first-born child, and the heart of our home.
Born in St. Clair Shores, Michigan on November 30, 2012, Jojo was more than a dog. He was a gentle soul with a human-like wisdom, the greatest heart, and a presence that could quiet a room or command a sidewalk. His calm, loving nature touched everyone who met him — and everyone who met him remembered him. Jojo was everyone’s favorite dog.
Jojo greeted life with warmth and an open heart. He welcomed his younger brothers, George and Edward, home from the hospital with a gentle tail wag and a guardian’s devotion, seeming to know his role in their lives. He was their protector, playmate, and constant companion — the best brother anyone could hope for.
He loved deeply and gave endlessly — to his family, to our friends, to their children, and to anyone lucky enough to cross his path. Jojo was both trustworthy and free-spirited — the kind of dog you didn’t have to call twice, but who would always return just because he wanted to be near you.
Jojo was athletic and spry until the very end. But even more powerful than his strength was his gentleness — his soft eyes, his quiet understanding, his ever-present loyalty. He knew us better than we knew ourselves. He didn’t just live in our house — he helped make it a home.
He was a legend in our neighborhood — the black poodle with the regal stride and a knowing glance. He was the best boy. The greatest of all time. The kind of dog that changes you forever.
We will miss him with every fiber of our being, and we will carry him with us — in every step, in every memory, and in every quiet moment when we feel his spirit beside us.
Run free, sweet Jojo. You were, and always will be, the best.
