When you get yourself in a predicament and you need some assistance. The 2nd floor of this house I’m staying in is a loft area. It’s a great reading spot.

The first set of steps is carpeted and the second set of steps is not. Both Ollie and Louie went up the steps with me however Ollie did not want to come down. He was afraid of the uncarpeted steps.

He is very food motivated so I put some food on each step. He would only put his front feet on the top step. He wanted the rest of the food but would not go down anymore steps.

He is way too heavy to pick up and try to move. I had to get a little inventive so I grabbed as many throw rugs that I could find and lined the steps with those. Hooray it worked. 🎉🎊I couldn’t grab any pictures because he ran down the steps.

Needless to say he hasn’t ventured up those steps anymore.

There are nights that I wish I could sleep soundly like Louie does. He is just about perfect.

My granddaughter is off to 2nd grade this morning. Praying for a great school year for her.

Saturday morning roadtrip tradition. Trying a new donut place and a cold drink. I have been a bit of a hermit this past week. It feels good to be out and about.
