Feel Good Fri-YAY!

Meet Cracker Jack, a six year old English Bulldog. She and her hooman were referred to Kane's by our furrends at the Dakin Humane Society Pet Health Center. Cracker Jack's hooman is disabled and could not afford her bloodwork.

Thanks to your support, Kane's sponsored the bloodwork and visit. In addition, Cracker Jack had an ear cytology and went home with ear meds. Your donations sponsored a total of $239.

We're happy to report her hooman says she's doing much better. "Cracker Jack and I would like to thank Kane's Krusade and all the donors for helping us when we needed it! You guys are the best! Keep up the great work!"

Thanks To You!

Disen is an eight year old pittie mix living in Springfield MA. His hooman is legally blind and disabled.

Unfortunately, Disen lives with severe allergies that require daily medication to keep him functioning. Tufts at Tech Community Vet Hospital referred this pet family to us. Disen only responds to a special medication that they provide. Tufts at Tech is in Worcester and it is a hardship for Brandi to arrange a ride to pick up the medications, but somehow she finds a way.

Thanks to your support, Kane's sponsored $185.94 for a month's worth of medication for Disen. Brandi was incredibly grateful and relieved. We can only do this work because of you, so thank you for fueling our mission to keep loved dogs with their furever families!

Thanks to you, Peanut will be feeling much better! This 8 year old cutie had dental surgery today and at least one tooth pulled. But he'll be smiling again soon! Kane's sponsored $600 and Peanut's hooman Brandi contributed the remaining $151.23. Brandi is a student and currently unemployed. Peanut received the care he needed because of your donations! Thank you for helping us keep loved dogs with their furever families!

Happy Tongue Out Tuesday!

Thanks to you, Kane's sponsored Luna's vet visit with our furrends at the Dakin Pet Health Center yesterday. Isn't she a pretty pittie?

Luna received meds for her ear infection and had a urinalysis done. She also received flea/tick treatment for herself and her sister-bull Canela.

Feel Good Fri-YAY!

Thanks to you, our Pet Family Housing Initiative assisted another unhoused pet family recently. Nina is a 12 year old Chihuahua and Kahlua is a 2 year old Frenchie. They are staying with their hooman in the only homeless shelter in MA that allows a limited number of people with their cats or dogs.

We arranged and sponsored a vet visit for both dogs through our furrends at the Dakin Humane Society Pet Health Center. Nina received an exam, rabies, distemper/parvo and bordetella vaccines.

Kahlua has been having skin/allergy issues. In addition to updating her vaccinations, she also had an ear cytology and ear meds to treat infection, eye drops and a health profile. The total Kane's sponsorship was $591.45.

Updated vaccinations are a shelter requirement. Without our program, this pet family faced a choice - give up the dogs or give up their shelter. Thanks to your support, Kane's provided the bridge to keep them together as they rebuild their lives.

Celebrating 15 Years

On this day in 2013 -

Krusaders, you make us proud! Thank you to everyone who contributed to Panda's vet bills! We raised over $420 in a little over 24 hours last week! With the money raised we will be able to cover the initial exam and medications, as well as her hematoma surgery.

When we called Panda's companion to tell her the good news, she cried. She said no one has ever done something so nice for her. Can you imagine watching your dog suffering and not being able to afford help? Fortunately, for this family, Kane's Krusade is there to help.
