Houndstown Springfield is an off leash climate controlled dog daycare, dog boarding, and pet spa. All day play is off-leash in the playrooms.

Houndstown has more than 6000 square feet of indoor play space, with 6 playrooms and a spa facility. Dogs are grouped by size (small, medium, and large), age, and play style into playgroups that they enjoy. They form a pack each day and play when they want, then sleep when they want. Grooming baths are available, along with nail trimming, teeth brushing, ear cleaning, and brush-outs.

Is your pup turning shoes, furniture or blankets into chew toys? 🐶
The cure might just be a Hounds Town Hangover! 💙
Boredom and excess energy can lead to destructive chewing, but a full day of natural pack play, exercise, and socialization can help keep those behaviors at bay.
The result? A happy, fulfilled Townie who's ready to snooze instead of chew! 🐾😴

🐾🧡 Some paw prints stay on our hearts forever.

Today, October 27, we recognize Día de Mu***os para las Mascotas (Day of the Dead for Pets), a day observed in Mexico as part of the beautiful tradition of Día de Mu***os.

On this day, it's believed that the spirits of beloved pets who have passed can return home to visit their families. Families honor their furry companions by creating ofrendas (altars) with photos, favorite toys, treats, and other meaningful reminders of the love they shared.

Rooted in Mexican culture, Día de Mu***os is a celebration of remembrance, love, and the enduring connection we have with those who are no longer physically with us. ❤️

Today, we're remembering the Townies who have crossed the rainbow bridge but will always be part of our pack.

🐾 If you're remembering a special pet today, we'd love to hear their name in the comments.

A new season, wagging tails, and plenty of play – fall looks good on our Townies. 🍂🐾
Whether they're making new friends, burning off energy, or earning a well-deserved Hounds Town Hangover nap, there's no better place to spend the season than with the pack.
Because every day is a good day to do it for the dogs. 💙

10/12/2026

Dogs are happiest when they can just be dogs. 🐾 That's why our team uses canine behavior and pack psychology to create safe, balanced playgroups based on each dog's size, energy level and personality. Every Townie deserves the right pack!

10/06/2026

Does your dog seem friendly off leash but reactive on walks? 🐶 Leash aggression can happen for many reasons, including frustration, fear, or overstimulation.

At Hounds Town, off-leash pack play removes the barrier of the leash, allowing dogs to communicate naturally through body language and build positive social skills. That's one reason routine structured daycare can be so beneficial for pups. 💙

October is Pet Wellness Month! 🐾💙 Wellness is about more than routine checkups – it's daily exercise, socialization, and enrichment through play.
At Hounds Town, our goal is to provide an environment that allows Townies to stay happy, healthy and thriving all year long.

09/29/2026

Life's just better as a Townie. 🐾💙
A day at Hounds Town means new friends, plenty of play, and a safe place where dogs can simply be dogs.

09/25/2026

Ever picked up your pup from daycare only to have them sleep the rest of the evening? 😴 That's what we call the Hounds Town Hangover!
A full day of running, playing, making friends, and being part of the pack leaves Townies happy, fulfilled, and ready for a well-earned nap. We'd call that a successful day.

09/23/2026

Every Townie starts with a meet-and-greet! 🐾
Our temperament test lets us get to know your dog. We evaluate their play style, energy level, and social skills so our dog management experts can match them with the right specialized playgroup where they'll feel safe and confident. 💙

09/17/2026

During , we're celebrating the incredible dogs who prove that hearing isn't what makes a great companion. With patience, communication, and understanding, deaf dogs can live happy, active lives just like any other pup.
At Hounds Town, we believe every dog deserves a safe place to play and be part of the pack. 💙
