Marshall is over here being the Goodest Boy™ and somehow the adoption applications are... where exactly? Did the universe lose them in the mail? Did someone unplug the internet? We simply do not understand. 🤨

At approximately 4 years old and just shy of 90 lbs, Marshall is a whole lot of dog wrapped up in an even bigger heart. According to his former family, he’s got some Retriever and Great Pyr in his mix, which honestly tracks because this boy is equal parts goofy best friend and giant cuddle bug. 💙

In his LOCAL foster home, Marshall is crushing house training, adores his people, and is highly motivated by snacks (relatable king 👑). He’s not crate trained and could use some extra practice with leash walking, but he’s eager to learn and picks things up quickly. A pocket full of treats and a little consistency will have this guy strutting his stuff in no time.

His foster says it best: 💬 “Marshall is a big, loving goofball who thrives around people and absolutely adores kids. He’s affectionate, sweet-natured, and happiest when he’s close to his humans. Marshall would do best with an active family or person who can give him consistent exercise, structure, and continued leash training so he can be the best version of himself. He has so much love to give and deserves a home where he can truly thrive.”

Marshall could happily join a home with kids and other dogs, but cats are a no-go for this handsome fella. 🏠

So seriously....what gives, universe?! Because somewhere out there is a family looking for a loyal, loving, oversized best friend, and Marshall has been ready for them all along! 🫶

We regret to inform you that adoptable Misty has returned to BDC and immediately committed the unforgivable crime of being WAY too cute. 😉 Like…excuse us ma’am?? Who gave you permission to look this majestic while casually lounging in the grass like you own the place?! 🤩

These photos have us absolutely feral, and honestly? We get the obsession with her. Misty is peak fluffy-girl perfection.

In true Pyr fashion, this gorgeous gal is happiest when she’s outside supervising the neighborhood from her favorite patch of grass or accompanying her humans on a leisurely stroll. A fenced yard would be her dream setup, but it’s definitely a bonus rather than a requirement—she’s just as happy getting her daily walkies in and then returning to her very important job of being adorable. 🐾

Misty has lived successfully with other dogs, but people? PEOPLE are her absolute favorite. She’s what we lovingly refer to as a “Velcro dog”, meaning wherever you go, chances are Misty would like to come too. 🙋‍♀️ Bathroom trip? Great. Couch time? Amazing. Folding laundry? She’s there for moral support. 🤣

The only catch? This fluffy cloud only has a spot on her foster’s couch for 9 more days! ⏰ That’s right, by July 1, Misty has nowhere to go. 💔

So if you’ve been thinking about adding a sweet, loyal shadow to your life but aren’t quite ready to commit, we are absolutely open to a foster-to-adopt situation for this girlie. And if you’ve already fallen head over heels (we certainly have!) and know Misty is your missing piece, we can make that happen too.

Basically what we’re saying is: please come collect your gorgeous oversized marshmallow before we all become too attached. 🥹

When Blossom’s foster questionnaire said she was “a little shy and just needs time to blossom,” we believed it.

Reader, we were BAMBOOZLED. 😂

Because approximately 5 minutes after being sprung from quarantine (legally, we promise!), this tiny scruff muffin decided every human she met was her new best friend. No warm-up period. No awkward getting-to-know-you phase. Just tail wags, happy wiggles, and an unwavering commitment to being everyone’s favorite little sidekick.

At just 6 months old and 10 lbs, Blossom is proof that the best things really do come in tiny, slightly scruffy packages. She’s settled into life as a New England gal without missing a beat and is officially ready to bloom into someone’s forever bestie. 🌸

So far, Blossom has shown she could be a great match for homes with kiddos 5+, dog-savvy cats, and/or other small dogs. 🏠

Now, before you get too distracted by that adorable face, let’s remember: Blossom is still a puppy. That means potty training, puppy antics, late-night bathroom breaks, and lots of learning ahead. Her dream family will be home for much of the day and excited to invest in training, enrichment, and helping this sweet girl grow into the amazing family dog we know she can be.

Honestly, we’re not sure how someone this cute, this friendly, and this delightfully scruffy is still available...but we’d love to fix that ASAP!

Think Blossom belongs in your family? Submit your application before someone else snatches up this pocket-sized ray of sunshine. 🐾 browndogcoalition.com/adoption

Adoptable Bianca would like to file a formal complaint about the fact that she’s STILL waiting for someone to adopt her. 👎

Because honestly? The math isn’t mathing! 🧐

This adorable black-and-white cutie is only 10 months old, ridiculously affectionate, and fully committed to being your new best friend. Need a cuddle buddy? Bianca’s on it. Looking for a tiny work-from-home supervisor to follow you from room to room? Bianca has already submitted her resume. ✅

Her only non-negotiable? She’d prefer to be your one and only furry family member. Bianca isn’t interested in sharing the spotlight with other pets when she could have 100% of your love and attention all to herself. 💁‍♀️

She’s also looking for a home with older kiddos (or adults only) where life is a little more “Netflix and snacks” and a little less “why is there peanut butter on the ceiling?” 🤪

So if you’ve been dreaming of a cat who wants to be involved in literally everything you do, Bianca is ready to move in and start managing your household immediately. 🖤🤍

Attention, internet. We have a very important question: HOW is sweet little Sassy still waiting for her forever family?! 🤨

This adorable brindle babe is approximately 11 months old, weighs just 15 lbs, and is pretty much done growing—which means she’s the perfect compact-sized sidekick. And can we talk about that coat for a second?! The brindle stripes are giving off ✨supermodel✨ vibes and we are obsessed.

Now, Sassy can be a bit shy when meeting new people, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality starts to shine. Over the last few weeks, she’s been working hard on all the important puppy things like house training, crate training, and leash walking, and she’s making great progress every day! 👏

She is a good match for households with or without kiddos 10+ and would be happy to have a canine sibling, but cats are a hard pass for this gal.

Here’s where we start getting a little nervous: Sassy’s foster family will be heading out of town soon, and we’d LOVE to see her settle into her forever home instead of having to pack her little bags and move to another temporary spot. 🥺

So... who’s ready to show this shy-but-so-worth-it girl that forever is finally her turn? 👉 browndogcoalition.com/adoption

Some days, rescue absolutely wrecks you. Today was one of those days. 💔 Today, we had to say goodbye to our beloved fospice boy, Miller.

This tiny guy arrived in rescue way back in September, and what was supposed to be a short-term fospice stay became nine beautiful months of being loved beyond measure.

While Miller stole the hearts of everyone at BDC, no one loved him more fiercely than his incredible foster parents, Lena and Mike. They opened their home and hearts to a medically fragile senior and gave him something every dog deserves: comfort, dignity, and unconditional love.

His foster mom shared this heartbreakingly beautiful update with us earlier today: “Little Man Miller passed over the rainbow bridge today. He surprised us all by pulling himself back from the brink in September and went on to enjoy nine wonderful months with my pack—going on walks in the woods, wandering outside with my chickens, sleeping in the big dogs’ bed in front of the fire and in every sunny spot he could find, and of course eating endless amounts of food and treats.

We will miss our little fuzzy friend and his endless tippy-tappies around the house. I loved getting to see glimpses of his feisty younger self again, and I am so honored that I got to be his safe place for the last months of his life. Rest in peace, Little Man. We love you always. 🌈”

Our hearts are shattered tonight, but we’re also incredibly grateful. Grateful that Miller’s story didn’t end in a cold and scary shelter. Grateful that he knew what it felt like to be someone’s whole world. And endlessly grateful to Lena and Mike, who took on the hardest kind of fostering and made it look like an act of pure love. 💙

Rescue is full of happy endings, but sometimes the greatest gift we can give is making sure an animal is loved until the very end. Run free, sweet Miller. Thank you for letting us be part of your story. We already miss you more than words can say. 🥺

Meet adoptable Harley—approximately 6 months old, ~30 lbs at the moment, devastatingly handsome, and absolutely BURSTING with potential to become someone’s dream family dog. While we don’t know his breed makeup, we suspect he’ll be on the larger side once he’s fully grown. Translation: more dog to love, more ears to scritch, and more goofy zoomies to brighten your day. 🥹

This sweet boy was heartbreakingly left behind with his mama and siblings when their former family moved away. But thanks to an incredible southern foster family who opened their hearts and home, Harley’s story took a much happier turn. 💙

And honestly? He is CRUSHING foster life.

✅ Excelling with his house training
✅ Doing great with crate training
✅ Picking up leash walking like a champ
✅ Mastering the art of being an all-around good boy

Harley could join a home with kids 5+, other playful pups, and even dog-savvy cats. He’s affectionate, playful, and at that magical puppy age where his personality is blossoming more every day.

Harley has already overcome more than any puppy should have to. Now he just needs a family to show him that the best chapter of his story is still ahead! 🙋‍♂️

🚐 IT’S TRANSPORT MONDAY!!!!! 🚐 Cue the happy tears because our newest crew of rescue pups is officially EN ROUTE to their new lives in New England! 🥹

Over the next 38 hours, these lucky pups will travel hundreds of miles on their journey from Alabama to Massachusetts, arriving at quarantine bright and early Wednesday morning. After completing their state-required 48-hour quarantine stay, we’ll FINALLY get to meet their adorable faces in person on Friday afternoon! 🎉

And here’s the part that really makes our hearts happy: 9 of the 15 dogs on this transport already have families waiting excitedly to welcome them home on Friday! 🏡

As for the remaining 6 cutie pies? They’re currently staring dramatically out the van windows, manifesting their future humans, and keeping their paws firmly crossed that someone submits that very important adoption application before Friday rolls around. 🐾

Can you imagine making this long journey only to discover your forever family was waiting for you at the finish line? We sure can, and we’re hoping that’s exactly how this story ends for every single pup on this transport! 🤞

Safe travels, little ones! We can’t wait to meet you on Friday and watch the next chapter of your lives begin. 💙
