Friends, I need to be real with you—four weeks of sickness is absolutely miserable. 😷 I'm still recovering and listening to my body, which means I need to make some temporary adjustments to my schedule.

Here's what's happening:

✅ DROP-IN VISITS are still happening (cats, dogs, small animals—all covered!)
⏸️ GROOMING APPOINTMENTS are paused until further notice
⏸️ DOG WALKING APPOINTMENTS are paused until further notice

I know this impacts some of you, and I'm genuinely sorry. Your pets' care is everything to me, and I want to make sure I'm at 100% when I'm caring for them. Drop-ins are shorter and more manageable right now, so I can still be there for your fur babies while I heal.

If you have grooming or walking appointments scheduled, I'll be reaching out personally to reschedule. Thank you for your patience and understanding—your support means the world. 🐾❤️

We need so many volunteers currently to support our mission, and that could be as simple as walking our pups for 30 minutes a day to helping with transportation like I do.

Grant research, writing, and submissions
Reporting and compliance
Long-term funding strategy

PetTrust Program Coordinator (Can be remote)

Position Description:
Organization and oversight of PetTrust service
Client onboarding and documentation
Program structure and compliance
Long-term legacy planning for companion

Volunteer Coordinator (Can be remote)
Position Description:
Welcomes new volunteers and help them get connected to the right roles
Maintains communication with active volunteers
Marketing volunteer opportunities to add more volunteers to our team
Help ensure volunteers feel appreciated and informed

Application Processor (Can be remote)
Position Description:
Review incoming adoption and foster applications
Call applicants to ask follow‑up questions
Contact veterinary offices to confirm dogs are up to date

Ranch Hand – Kennel Support
Position Description:
Help clean and maintain dog kennels
Support daily care routines
Assist with general upkeep of the kennel area

Transport Volunteer

Position Description:
Transport dogs that need to travel to get to foster or new adopter
Ensure safe, calm travel for dogs
Coordinate timing transport coordinator

Dog Walker

Position Description:
Walk dogs for exercise, enrichment, and socialization
Provide one‑on‑one attention and positive interaction
Help reinforce good leash manners and calm behavior

I haven’t been out on the job much recently, and I know that’s not like me. My voice has basically been nonexistent for about a week, and whatever sickness has been making the rounds in Southwest Missouri has hit me HARD. 😷

I haven’t been able to sleep, and for days it’s felt like I can’t even breathe right — so I’ve had to slow down and focus on getting healthy again.
