Another Golden update:

Saul (now Tucker!!) has been loving his new life. ❤️
No more cages outside in the heat.

No more fighting for food.

No more wondering where his next meal—or his next bit of kindness—will come from.

Now, Saul knows soft beds, full bowls, cool floors, gentle hands, and LOVE. 🥹🐾

🌿 Thorn here!

I just wanted to tell you about my adventure a couple nights ago!

A volunteer came to take me out, and we went to a place called Bass Pro! She said I did great in the car. I was the perfect passenger and even stayed in the back seat the whole ride! 🚗

Once we got inside, I was great on a leash and listened well. I accidentally went the wrong way once… oops! 😂 I also met some new people and was calm and polite when saying hello.

And honestly… we’re not really sure why I don’t have a home to sleep in every night yet. 🥺

I’m just 6 months old, I’m learning, I’m having fun, and I’m ready for someone to make me part of their family.

Maybe that someone is you? ❤️

Wishlist Wednesday!

This week, we’re asking for a pair of clippers for our main headquarters.

The other night, we had one good pair of clippers that a volunteer brought in, and we needed them to help clip NINE dogs who desperately needed some TLC.

While we’re incredibly lucky to have groomers available to help our dogs, sometimes emergencies come through the door and we need to be able to act fast. Having a reliable pair of clippers on hand means we can start making a dog more comfortable right away instead of waiting.

For some dogs, getting those mats off isn’t just about looking better. It’s about feeling better.

While we only had the space to take in the smalls from the Stone County house fire, we are so grateful to Branson Humane Society for stepping up to take several of the other dogs.

These dogs have been through so much. They will need extensive veterinary care, grooming, patience, and plenty of TLC as they begin to recover and learn what it feels like to be safe.

This is what rescue is supposed to look like. No one organization can save every animal alone, but when rescues come together, we can make sure no dog is left behind.

SWEET SENIOR GAL NEEDS A FOSTER 💛

This sweet senior girl needs a soft place to land.

She is blind and deaf and recently came into our care along with another dog after experiencing a significant change in her living situation.

She’s going to need lots of TLC, patience, and a quiet, loving home where she can decompress at her own pace and begin settling into her new surroundings.

For a senior girl who navigates the world a little differently, having a calm and comforting place to land can make all the difference.

Sometimes the worst thing that happens is what finally saves a life.

Nine dogs have come to us from a house fire situation, and there’s something we can’t stop thinking about:

The fire saved their lives.

They aren’t super old, but their teeth already tell a heartbreaking story. Dentals are going to be needed for every single one of them. On top of that, they need grooming, veterinary care, time, and plenty of TLC as they recover and adjust to a completely new life.

It’s hard to look at where they came from and imagine what their lives may have looked like before the fire.

But they’re here now.

And that means we have a chance to give them something different.

A clean start. A safe place. A new chapter.

We have a lot of work ahead of us, and we need our community behind us now more than ever. ❤️

These nine dogs survived the fire.
