Did you know Black pets are often adopted at lower rates and spend more time in shelters than lighter-colored animals?

As a Black-owned veterinary hospital, this hits close to home. Dr. Gibson is among the 2% of Black veterinarians in the U.S. — and that number gets even smaller for Black women in the field.

We also believe in Black vet representation and Black pet ownership — and in doing our part to close the gap, one conversation and interaction at a time.
