The first thing I do when I walk into a customer’s yard? Shut the gate behind me.

Before I start checking the yard, I make sure it’s secure. Your dog doesn’t need an open invitation to tour the neighborhood.

Once the yard’s clean, I head back out, lock the gate, and give it one last check. Then I snap a photo and send it your way.

Every visit starts and ends at the same spot: your gate.

One thing I’ve learned since starting this business is that there’s a lot more to it than just picking up dog p**p.

From getting out in the yards to meeting new people and their pups, planning routes, taking care of customers, and figuring out all the little things that come with running a business, every day is a little different.

It might not be everyone’s dream job, but I really enjoy what I’m building, one clean yard at a time!

I’m trying something new with Scoop Snoop!

I started my first batch of door hangers, and I’ve never tried this before. No idea if they’ll actually bring in any new customers, but I figured there’s only one way to find out.

I thought it might be fun to start sharing more of the behind-the-scenes stuff as I grow Scoop Snoop. The things I try, what works, what doesn’t, and everything I learn along the way.

Honest question: When you find a door hanger on your front door, do you actually read it or throw it away? 😂

Picked up this little treat from Layla's Barkery, and she wasn’t about to wait for me to finish taking a picture before she could get a taste!

Anybody else have a dog who forgets all manners when the treats come out?

The p**p is the job. The dogs are the perk. 😊

Getting to spend a little time with faces like this is one of my favorite parts of running Scoop Snoop.

I’m here to clean the yard, but I can always make time for a few head scratches.

This is one photo I want every Scoop Snoop customer to get.
Once the yard is done, we secure the gate and send a photo. You can see how we left it without having to go outside and check.
A clean yard is great. Knowing the gate was closed behind us is even better.
