🌊 August Aquatics Adventure! ⚓

This month, Troop 94 dove headfirst into our Aquatics Theme 🏊‍♂️🌞

We were honored to be joined by our shipmates from Sea Scout Ship 94, who brought their sea-faring expertise ashore to help us navigate the essential skills of Safety Afloat and Safe Swim Defense. From understanding the buddy system to spotting hazards in open water, our Scouts are now better prepared to stay safe while having fun in and on the water. 🚤

The excitement didn't stop there—Sea Scouts also regaled us with stories of sailing adventures, SCUBA diving, jet skiing, shooting sports, and of river, intracoastal, and ocean voyages. Truly a taste of high-seas adventure! 🌬️🌊⚓

To cap off the evening, our Scouts went head-to-head in a Patrol Line Heaving Competition—testing strength, teamwork, and a bit of maritime mischief! 💪

A massive BRAVO ZULU to Ship 94 for sharing their time, skills, and salty wisdom with us. The sea calls—and our Scouts are now one step closer to answering it!

👏 Bravo, Landon and Troop 94! 👏

This past month, Landon completed his Eagle Scout Project at Northwood Temple Academy in Fayetteville, NC! 🦅 Scouts from Troop 94 worked hard under his leadership to assemble and stain eight picnic tables, creating a lasting gift for the school and community.

Landon’s project is a shining example of what Scouting is all about—service, teamwork, and leadership in action. Well done on taking this major step toward Eagle! 🌟

This past weekend Troop 94 proudly celebrated Daniel on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout at his Court of Honor and becoming the troop’s 25th Eagle Scout! 🦅 His dedication, perseverance, and leadership have inspired fellow Scouts and strengthened the spirit of Troop 94.

🌊⚓ Bravo Zulu to Sea Scout Ship 94! ⚓🌊

A huge shout-out to Sea Scout Ship 94, recently recognized in Scout Life Magazine for their incredible service in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

This dedicated crew - also chartered by Anderson Creek — trekked deep into the North Carolina mountains to support a local non-profit delivering vital humanitarian relief to communities devastated by the storm last September.

👏 Their hard work, Scout spirit, and commitment to helping others in need truly embody the best of Scouting!

🌲🏕️ Troop 94 at Summer Camp – Camp Cherokee Scout Reservation 2025 🏕️🌲

Troop 94 just wrapped up an unforgettable week at Camp Cherokee Scout Reservation! From sunrise flag ceremonies to late-night campfires under the stars, our Scouts fully embraced the adventure, challenge, and camaraderie of summer camp.

🔥 They worked hard and had fun, completing a variety of merit badges – from Swimming and Aviation to Environmental Science, First Aid, Horseback Riding, Smallboat Sailing, and more.
🚣‍♂️ They tackled the waterfront, hiked trails, honed their outdoor skills, and lived the Scout Oath and Law each day.
🎖️ We couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments, growth, and teamwork throughout the week.

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing adult leaders and camp staff for making it all possible. 👏

Here’s to a summer full of Scouting spirit and memories that will last a lifetime. Well done, Troop 94! 🌟

🎣🌩️ Troop 94 Reels in Adventure at the Hagen Sea Base! 🐟🔥

This past weekend, Troop 94 set up camp at the Hagen Sea Base in Lexington, North Carolina, where our Scouts dove into the Fishing Merit Badge—line casting, knot tying, and even a bit of fish frying!

But it wasn’t all sunshine and bait! 🌩️ On Friday night, a fierce thunderstorm rolled through—but our Scouts showed remarkable resilience and Scout spirit, staying calm, helping each other, and sticking to our Scout motto: Be Prepared.

The rest of the weekend was classic Scout fun:
🍳 Campsite cooking
🎣 Fresh fish in the skillet
🍫 A Dutch oven dessert contest

We’re proud of our Scouts for their skills, teamwork, and positive attitude despite the storm. 💪

🚴‍♂️ Troop 94 Hits the Trail at Smith Lake! 🌲💪

This month, our Scouts pedaled their way through an unforgettable adventure at Smith Lake as they worked toward earning the Cycling Merit Badge. From challenging trails to scenic views, they showed true Scout spirit every mile of the way!

Along the journey, they also rolled up their sleeves for a hands-on conservation project, giving back to the beautiful land we explore. And to top it off, the Scouts practiced vital first aid skills—because being prepared isn't just a motto, it's a way of life.

🏕️ Troop 94 Takes on Camp Cherokee! 🎯🔥

This past month, Troop 94 Scouts headed out to Camp Cherokee for an action-packed camping trip filled with skill-building, adventure, and good old-fashioned fun!

🎯 Rifle Merit Badge – Scouts took aim and sharpened their marksmanship as they worked diligently toward earning their Rifle Shooting merit badge.

🏹 Archery Range – Between rifle sessions, they let arrows fly and practiced precision and focus on the archery range.

🍳 Outdoor Cooking – Meals were Scout-prepared, as always! The patrols put their cooking skills to the test and proved you can eat like kings in the woods!

🌲 Improvised Shelters – True to the spirit of preparedness, older Scouts built their own improvised shelters, using teamwork and resourcefulness to create sturdy structures.

🎲 Evening Fun – As the stars came out and the campfire crackled, Scouts gathered around for a classic game of Risk—complete with friendly rivalries, strategic alliances, and world domination (Scout-style)!

From skill development to laughter around the campfire, weekends like these are what Scouting is all about.

Troop 94 is proud to celebrate Garrett’s achievement in Scouting — he has earned his Brotherhood in the Order of the Arrow during the March Powwow! 🦉🔥

🌱 Eagle Scout Spotlight: Michael Quintana Strengthens Community Gardens! 💪🦅

Please join us in congratulating Michael Quintana of Troop 94 for completing his Eagle Scout Service Project—a remarkable effort that demonstrates leadership, teamwork, and a lasting impact on the Harnett County Community Demonstration Gardens in Lillington!

At just 15 years old, Michael led a team of Scouts from Troops 94B and 94G of Anderson Creek in planning and constructing a protective fence around the Community Gardens. This ambitious project was the result of nine months of planning and three weekends of hands-on work, including digging post holes, setting poles, installing gates, and securing fencing to protect the space from wildlife.

These gardens play a vital role in educating future Harnett County Extension Master Gardeners and providing fresh produce to local food pantries. Thanks to Michael’s leadership, the gardens will now be better protected and more sustainable—serving the local community for many years to come.

Michael, your vision and dedication are a true example of the Eagle Scout spirit! 🏕️🌟

🌟 Eagle Project Spotlight: JB Medina Beautifies the Vass Post Office! 🌿🇺🇸

Troop 94 is proud to recognize JB Medina for completing his Eagle Scout Service Project, which has brought both beauty and community value to the Vass Post Office!

JB’s project transformed the grounds of the Post Office by building a bench near the flagpole—creating a welcoming place for locals to sit, relax, and enjoy the surroundings. The area was enhanced with mulch, flowers, and plants, offering a cleaner and more professional look while supporting pollinators.

As a tribute to service members, garden flags representing all branches of the military were also placed on display, honoring those who have served and adding a patriotic touch to the space.

This project isn’t just a beautification effort—it’s a gift to the entire Vass community, providing a space that’s functional, meaningful, and a true reflection of Scout spirit in action. JB, your dedication and leadership are making a lasting difference!

We are proud to announce that Daniel has officially achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest honor in Scouting! 🏕️🌟

Daniel has shown unwavering dedication, leadership, and commitment to the Scout Oath and Law throughout his journey. His Eagle Scout project made a lasting impact on our community, and his leadership within the troop has been nothing short of inspiring.

Earning Eagle Scout is a rare and distinguished accomplishment—only about 6% of Scouts reach this milestone. Daniel now joins an elite group of youth who have demonstrated excellence in character, service, and perseverance.
