We have the best news about our extremely emaciated pup!!

Our sweetest boy ever, Anubis (now Chase) has found the bestest fur-ever home! He loves his kids so much! He got to go on vacation at the lake, and we leanred he loves the water. He is gaining weight wonderfully. He is getting so strong. He loves pup cups and car rides and playing with other dogs! We get to see him all the time, which is the best part! We are so happy for our goofy boy!

Courtest alert!
This cutie was found on the side of Mutt Winstead Rd in Louisburg this week. They thought she had been hit by a car but she was just hunkered down she was so scared. Someone had tossed some food out. It is uncertain if she is lost or was dumped. She is a small girl about 25 lbs. She does not have a microchip. She is on a stray hold right now but if interested they are looking for a good home for her. Please let us know if you may be interested and we will get you in contact with the finder!

Thank you!

We wanted to post an update on our sweet boy, Anubis! Here he is waking up from anesthesia after his neuter! Yes, he was finally able to get that necrotic testicle removed! He is a fan favorite of the vet staff! He still needs to be on antibiotics due to the infection and while his incision is healing. He has gained a few pounds so far. He absolutely adores his foster family and the other pups. Infact, he is getting stronger every day amd was able to go outside with the other pups and even tried to run a little. Thank you for your continued support and prayers.

On Friday, a local emergency hospital reached out to us asking if we had room for this sweet boy. His body condition score is a 1 (there is not an once of fat on this poor guy). He is so skinny that he is loosing muscle mass. Luckily, he can still walk. The emergency vet said he had an infection in his testicle and it was now necrotic (i will post a pic in the comments because it is pretty bad). The emergency hospital felt he was also full of intestinal parasites. I don't know much about where he came from but supposedly they had been caring for him a few weeks when they realized he was pretty bad off and needed vet care. When the emergency vet told them he needed to be neutered, they said they didn't have the funds. The options were find a rescue or have him euthanized.

So here is where we stepped in. We took him straight to our vet to be accessed. This poor guy should weigh 20-30 lbs more than what he does! He was covered in fleas. I was very worried about how white his gums where. We went ahead and started dewormer and flea prevention. We also started iron supplements because he was on the verge of needing a blood transfusion. It was felt that in his condition, he would not make it thru the neuter so we have put it off til this week. We have been feeding multiple small meals a day to help start building muscle and fat back. He loves his blankets and his stuffies.

We could use your help to cover his expenses. We have multiple ways to donate if you can!

Miss CiCi got her new goggles! She isn't super fond of them yet, but we will get there. We have noticed that all the pollen has definitely caused her eyes to leak and become itchy. We are still working on her constant spinning and barking. She loves her foster parents so much. She will walk between their legs as they walk! She can smell them as soon as they walk in the room and she starts searching. She is more playful with the other dogs. This is going to be a long journey but we are prepared to be with her every step of the way!

2 week pupdate!

Miss CiCi is trying really hard to settle in! She was spayed this week and is recovering well. She will definitely have to find a home where things don't change, like furniture being moved, or constant travel. Anything new stresses her out. She enjoys following her foster parents around, she has learned their smell! She has enjoyed trying new things like peanut butter and bananas! She doesn't mind the other dogs, not yet playful, but will lay with them. She still soins in constant circles, but we believe that is just how she has learned to cope in her dark, quite world. She has also gained over 5 lbs and has had her first bath! She did great! We will continue to post her updates! Have a great weekend!

Please help us share these 2 sweet fellas! Rollo and Nash are both around 50 lbs. Rollo is about 3-4 years old and Nash is about 2 years old. They are house and crate trained. They love playing with other dogs. They are both big goofballs! They are up to date on vaccines, microchipped, neutered, and current on heartworm prevention! They just want to finally find their fur-ever homes! Please help us make that wish come true!

Hey friends! Sorry we have been absent a little while. Please meet our newest orphan, Xexilia (pronounced Cecilia) or CiCi for short. It means blind of self beauty. This sweet girl is not only blind but she is deaf as well. We just pulled her Friday so she is still trying to settle in. She has already been seen by our vet. We think she is no more than a year old and she is only 20 lbs. We are trying to put weight on her now. Sadly she also has heartworms. We have already started heartworm prevention. She has a lot of anxiety, which is very normal for a pup going thru everything she has and can't hear or see. She is a very sweet and we can't wait to see her get more settled! We will continue to update you on her progress.

Happy New Year! We hope this year brings happiness to all!
