Some animals spend their golden years surrounded by the comfort of home. Others, like Felix, are still waiting for that chance.

At 13 years old, Felix has been with us since December, patiently waiting, hoping his turn will come.

This sweet senior has been experiencing some of the challenges that can come with age, including difficulty eating and maintaining weight. Thanks to regular veterinary care, a nutritious diet, and plenty of love from our staff, Felix continues to enjoy his days and greet those who care for him with gentle affection.

What Felix really wants now is a quiet, comfortable retirement home where he can enjoy precious moments with a family of his own.

His adoption fee has been sponsored, meaning his adoption fees are $0. Felix’s future adopters will also receive 3 months of prescription food for free.

From TODAY, June 19–22, adoption fees are just $19 for all cats and dogs 1 year and older!

Every animal deserves to find their forever home. We want to help connect families to their perfect companion by reducing the adoption fees and, for certain animals, include a special gift to help them settle into their new home.

With the adoption of one of these wonderful pets, we will include Bravecto (a flea & tick preventative) and a free bag of dog food!

This sweet girl would like you to know that our main campus, including our shelter, veterinary clinic, and admin offices, will be closed tomorrow, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth.

Update: All of our animals onsite are safe and settled into our Everyday Adoption Center at PetSmart or in a loving foster home.

We are immensely grateful for fosters and staff who stepped up and opened their homes to our animals, and for those of you who reached out offering assistance. Pets like Lilly here are feeling the incredible impact of your kindness. Because of you, our animals are able to stay safe in unpredictable situations like yesterday— thank you.

In hard times like these, it is incredibly important for people to come together as a community in any way they can. With many families displaced from their homes, we understand how difficult it is to navigate this tragic event.

We are here to help. Our community pet food pantry is open. We also have pet supplies to ensure your pet is comfortable during this stressful time.

Our main campus is open 10:30am-12:30 pm and 1 pm-6 pm at 6605 N Havana St, Tuesday through Saturday.

With kindness and empathy, we can get through this together. Stay safe, Spokane.
