Attention BECU Members

BECU is donating to nonprofits that reflect their “People Helping People” values. The deadline to submit a nomination is tomorrow (apologies for the short notice—I just saw the email this morning).

If you’re a BECU member and support Safe Animals For Everyone, we’d greatly appreciate your nomination!

They’ll ask for some info like our Tax ID—just send a private message (ignore the automated email reply), and a volunteer will get it to you ASAP.

The two short prompts you’ll need to answer:
1. Share a story about your personal involvement with this organization.
2. How does this organization embody the “People Helping People” philosophy? Include as much detail as possible.

🐶 Dog, Rat Terrier, 8 lbs

Dogs name is Sprinkles

Sprinkles was abused by a man before I got her. She is pretty timid at first. She did not like to be picked up ..it takes her awhile to trust. She likes women a lot. I was away for work for awhile and had her staying else where for a bit.

She's getting her annual shots shortly. They are both up to date on time with that.

Age
Sprinkles is 7

Sprinkles is house broken, cannot be put a room with door shut, she will get scared and claw at a door and tear it up.
She is not Kennel trained but has been in one before.

Sprinkles likes to take off, with other people..she needs a leash, and or a fenced in back yard.

Cats name is Shadow

Shadow is 3

Shadow uses normal litter box.

He is an indoor cat completely.

Both pets are spayed and neutered. I will have any shots that need updated ASAP.

Both pets eat dry food but like wet food as a treat.

They CAN be separated.

I have to find a home. I'm not sure how long. I'm on a wait list for a place, May be a week or a month or two at the most I hope. I do have a full time job.

Dog grace 3 years old Female, grace is house trained but can’t hold it for too long so she should be let out every few waking hours. She is well with all animals & she is great with kids but is skittish. She is spayed and vaccinated. She is not an escape artist.

Cat is Lola and she is a female and is 10 mo old, she is good with kids and pets, is spayed and vaccinated. She will sneak outside if door is open but she is an indoor and can’t fend for herself so it’s important to keep doors secure.

Anticipated length of care is two months or less.

Can anyone provide care for beautiful Rockie? He’s 6, neutered, impeccably house broken. Has his vaccines, approx 4 weeks of care needed for a homeless disabled vet. He is great with people and other pets. He even has a pet cat of his own (but we only need care for Rockie)!

We want to give a shout out to two of our volunteers today! We won’t share last names due to privacy.
Savanna and Brandy, thank you!
Today we received a call from an ER dept about a person who had been brought in by ambulance. Three days ago! The patient mentioned their dog several times.
One concerned staff member contacted us and our amazing volunteers went to see it there was in fact a dog at the home alone.
There was a poor buddy all alone. Neighbors came to check on why people were knocking on the door.
The neighborhood loves this dog! They will be taking care of him until his owner comes home!
It’s not always a foster situation, sometimes it’s just caring enough to check.
My heart is full. I’m so thankful for our whole team and our supporters.
