Here’s an update on maya, the one that was in clogs for over a year. Well after two times of being a “barefoot specialist” because obviously I don’t know how to shoe a horse 😉.
I went with apply these glu shoes to her feet with a little bit of DIM. I have more pictures of the bottom side but for some reason Facebook won’t let me upload them. We are finally at live sole after two shoeings. After got the first one on and let the glu set, she had a lot of licking a chewing which is usually a pretty positive sign.

She did have a big abcess on the RF, when I was paring off it the sole, it bursted, and let out a rank nasty smell😂.

This was after getting my foot stomped on Friday morning and again yesterday morning, so my foot is pretty damn sore right now. 😬 but it’s all in the trade.

A mare that has this nasty crack since the owner have aquired her awhile ago. Been trying to trim it correct and help it out, but made the decision to help support it. Follow along for this journey as well.

Friendly remember for my clients, start soaking your horses feet three days prior to our appointment. They are extremely hard right now.

It would benefit myself and the horse a ton. Soaking as in running the trough over enough so there front feet are in the mud/water. Thank you !!

I think the biggest problem in the Farrier world, is not us, it’s the clients. The clients expect a drastic turn around after just a six week cycle, when in reality, it usually takes much longer then that. I’ve been working on a couple horses that have had terrible feet from the start, but the clients have been super understanding that it takes time.

Remember we usually are the ones laying in bed thinking about how we can improve your horses feet, it’s absolutely stressful and taxing.

Yall have to understand Rome was not built in a day. It takes time! Remember if a client does not take you seriously, or doesn’t value your time, move on. There are far better clients out there for you.
