Specialized Pet Solutions LLC We build custom animal braces and prosthetics, specializing in dog knee braces for CCL & ACL tears. We create specialty braces and Prosthetics for animal.

Our specialty is dog knee braces for ACL and CCL tears as well as hock braces for achilles injuries and carpal braces for hyperextension, however we also build these devices for other types of animals as well. We also build custom prosthetics for domestic animal such as dogs, zoo animals such as zebras and warthogs and farm animals such as cows, horses and goats. Our name says it best. We will do our absolute best to come up with a solution to help your special pet.

Two vets had told us that she needed the surgery, but then I remembered that Angela Boncz makes braces for dogs. She truly is an angel! You’d be hard-pressed to find a bigger fan of Specialized Pet Solutions than Stephanie Wilson and her 10-year-old Golden Retriever, Kasey.

Kasey partially tore her CCL in March of 2024. A CCL is the canine equivalent of our ACL.

Kasey’s vet recommended surgery, but Stephanie wasn’t sold on that.

“We watched her struggle to recover after a previous unrelated surgery,” Stephanie explained. “So, we did not feel confident that having the surgery to repair her CCL would be her best option."

Instead, Stephanie hit the internet and started searching for other choices. She found Specialized Pet Solutions, 2,500 miles away from her home in Virginia.

But once we started working with her, she never looked back. We sent her our casting kit. She sent us photos, and we worked together to make sure Kasey was comfortable. Kasey wore her custom brace for roughly six months. She no longer needs the brace, and she doesn’t limp.

“Specialized Pet Solutions has been an absolute Godsend,” said Stephanie. “I cannot thank them enough!

Sarah Larson and her husband never imagined they would fall in love with a Boer goat named Domino.

“He's just the sweetest thing,” Sarah explained. “The only time he cries is when he can't see us.”

But they also never imagined that Domino would bring a mobility crisis that would turn their world upside down. Sarah found Domino on Facebook. The owner said he had issues with his back legs. But it took a vet to identify the problem.

“Instead of having what they would call floppy legs, where the legs just need to be brought forward until they tighten up, his legs are actually the opposite. The tendons are really tight. They cannot come forward,” Sarah said.

Experts from the family veterinarian to Washington State University told her there was nothing they could do to help him. But Sarah is not one to quit.

She found Specialized Pet Solutions and its owner, Angela Boncz, in Spangle, south of Spokane. Sarah, her husband, and Domino made the trek from the Yakima Valley, and just like that, Domino got wheels.

“Angela did his cart for him,” Sarah remembered. “We wanted her to see him in person and be able to cast him there, so it was more accurate.”

Turns out, Domino is a popular guy. Add a little movement to the recipe, and he’s unstoppable.

“He's got a couple of little goat friends that have been running circles around him,” Sarah said. “He has a deaf dog that likes to sleep with him. The cats love to sleep next to him. He wears diapers and comes into the house regularly.”

But just as quickly as the wheelchair went online, Domino faced another problem.

“He started having more issues with his front legs, and his back legs have started to cross and kind of curve more,” Sarah explained.

We’re excited to see how we can help Domino this time! We’re committed to helping him live his best life, just as Sarah and her husband are.

“He deserved to be loved and to have a chance at some kind of life,” Sarah said.

This Memorial Day, Specialized Pet Solutions will stop to honor the servicemen and women who lost their lives in service to our country. Thanks to those who made the ultimate sacrifice, we can pursue our dreams. We try to do that every day when we offer the animals who give us comfort and joy the chance to live their best lives.
