Down in Kissimmee, Florida, Osceola County Deputy Josh Fiorelli came across a dog that had been hit by a car and was lying injured on the side of the road. She was wet, cold, and alone — but not for long.
Deputy Fiorelli called for help and then did something that speaks volumes about the kind of man he is: he sat beside her, gently petting her and covering her with his own jacket to keep her warm. “She didn’t have anyone there,” he said. “So I decided to be that person.”
This powerful moment, captured by a passerby, quickly went viral — a quiet reminder that compassion is at the core of this job. Some wear the badge with bravery. Others wear it with grace. Deputy Fiorelli wears it with both.
Thank you to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office for showing what it truly means to protect and serve — not just people, but every life that needs help.
