Good afternoon everyone, we hope you’re having an amazing Wednesday! Today we wanted to showcase our beautiful Umbrella Cockatoo, Jackie. 💛🌞
Jackie was given to us back in April of this year as her previous owners were getting older and sadly could no longer take care of her. She came from a very loving home and they were very sad to see her go. Upon receiving her, she was not in the best of condition but our team was determined and knew that we would be able to restore her back to full health. Being that she is now in a new home, it took some time for her to acclimate to gain our trust to work with her and give her proper care.
As you can see, under the proper care and determination from our staff, Jackie has now been restored back to full health and she is glowing!💛
Jackie is by far one of the most loving and cheerful Cockatoos that we have at HL’s Safari. She is now in her new enclosure and couldn’t be happier. She is sometimes hesitant to jump on your arms or shoulders, but after a few minutes, you can’t get her off of you. 🤣🥹💛
Being that we are an Animal Sanctuary in South Florida, we work with many different agencies and take in numerous different species of animals that can no longer be taken care of by their previous owners or other facilities.
