Interested in doing volunteer work with your trained therapy dog?

Sign-up for or Therapy Dog Class with Debra Stamm

The therapy dog course provides an overview and hands-on exposure to what prospective therapy dog and handler should expect to encounter during a therapy dog organization evaluation/certification process and real-life volunteer visits.

Debra is currently Lead Trainer and Therapy Dog Program Coordinator at Golden Opportunities for Independence (GOFI), a nonprofit organization in Walpole, where she trains service dogs, facility dogs, and Community Resource Dogs for Massachusetts police departments. She is an AKC Evaluator, certified by two therapy dog organizations, and serves as a Tester/Observer for Alliance of Therapy Dogs (ATD). Through ATD, she evaluates for certification therapy dog/handler teams to work in community volunteer opportunities.

This is Hazel.

After years without mobility, Hazel was finally fitted with donated wheels!! For the first time in a very long time, she has the ability to move independently again.

Mobility support changes more than movement. It reduces secondary physical decline, improves muscle engagement, supports joint health, and gives animals the opportunity to interact with their environment with less frustration and discomfort.

These donations directly fund that outcome.

Every wheelchair donated gives another animal the chance to regain function, confidence, and quality of life. We need continued support to keep helping dogs like Hazel walk again.
