This is 11 month old Georgia Mae Yellow Lab. She was insecure and started peeing submissivley in her house which was a reggression. With her high energy and unfufilled drive she was pulling on the leash, jumping on you, biting at your hands and feet and was protesting the leash by biting it. We separated her from her owners. We flooded her prey drive with pack play to build her confidence. Now she can learn foundation control skills. This is how we take bad energy then channel it into something good. Go Georgia Mae!

Rescues come in all shapes, sizes, breeds and drive profiles. This one just happens to be a 3 1/2 year-old purebred woking drive Doberman Pincher from Vom Hismerh kennel in New Jersey. Tiller turned on his owners multiple times and was going to be euthanized. We had a hunch that it wasn’t the dog. We were right! Go Tiller!

We take the “multi-environment” approach with our pack of dogs. This keeps them happy and stimulated but at the same time never bored. At the end of the day when they go home they are all physically and emotionally exhausted. That’s why they cant wait to come back!

After just a few days with us Apollo Creed German Shepherd is feeling a whole lot better about himself! More confident. Less sensitive. More experienced. More adaptable. The fear doesn’t go away. He just becomes more comfortable in his own skin and all we used was our Pack of Dogs to achieve it. You can see his true personality start to shine through. He is a playful fun loving goofball. All we did was to put him into the position to succeed, then watched. The rest was entirely up to him. This is what unwinding a dog is all about. Go Apollo!

Here is another extreme one year-old Sable German Shepherd that desperstely needs our help. A 17-year-old boy brought Apollo, a working drive, fear based, reactive German Shepherd, home and then abandoned him to his parents who were il-equipped to work with him. As predicted Apollo started to over attach to the mother and guard her. Now he has a Bite history. Mom has become very attached to her boy and now it is our responsibly to unwind at all. Here we go again! Go Apollo!

When someone tells us their dog is dog aggressive and asks for our help the first thing we do is determine if it’s a dog issue with the dog, a relationship issue with the owner or both. Dog issues are harder to unwind. Relationship issues are easier but require re-training of the owner . William Tell Golden Clearly has a relationship issue. How do we know? Because all we had to do was separate him from his owner on his first day and safely expose him to dogs to solve the problem. That is the definition of a relationship issue. Go Willie!

Is that Maverick German Shepherd? The one that needed a muzzle when he arrived? Fear based, reactive and over attached and bites?Yes! We are successfully, desensitizing and counterconditioning his fear as well as his response to to dogs. It’s not a cure. It’s a way to fulfill and manage his drive. Now for the owners!

Our third day with Maverick German Shepherd and he no longer needs a muzzle around people or dogs. This is quite a development and it’s just awesome to see! Go Maverick!!

Unwinding another extreme, fear based, over-attached, dog aggressive, people aggressive, guarding Cattle Dog mix with a bite history. How do we go from that to this in less than a day? It’s a sure sign of a relationship issue. This is NOT a Dog issue. We can fix that. Go Bingo!

It’s our second exposure with Maverick German Shepherd one week apart, and his progress continues to astound. We work him without a muzzle. We get him around Dogs without a leash. He is unwinding and more balanced. It’s not a cure. It’s a way to fulfil and manage his drive. This is very promising! Go Maverick!

We have another extreme five-year-old German Shepherd that’s been in decline for a long time. He is fear based, over attached, under fulfilled and has a bad relationship with his owners. He guards his owners, his house and everything in it. Can we unwind/fix a dog this extreme? The answer is always that it depends on the individual dog. While we did not take his muzzle off the first time we met we’ve made enough progress with him that now we can. The owners have never been able to do this with their own dog. It’s not a cure. It’s a way to fulfill and manage his drive. We are unwinding, fulfilling, desensitizing and counterconditioning all at the same time. Go Maverick!

More miracles on Main Street. People think that Pack Work is only for big dogs. That’s just not the case. Pack Work is for any dog with a Prey Drive regardless of their size. We can often use this innate Prey Drive to rehabilitate them and begin to supersede their fear, sensitivity and insecurity raising their sensitivity threshold. It’s not a cure. It’s a way to fulfill and manage their drive. Sirene Dachshund Mix had extreme PTSD level fear-aggression 4 days ago and would bite both people and dogs instantly. You could not approach her, touch her or pick her up without her either running away in a panic or biting you. After just four consecutive days we see a completely different dog. This is the definition of successful drive work. Go Sirene!
