JUNE 14tH- Mel McCartney is coming to do a clinic for two groups. Mel is a long time local legend of a fox hunter, hunter jumper, 4-h, driving, side saddle, ect. Mel has been a huge influence in an era of horseman so we are lucky to get some of her time and knowledge! If you know me you know i use the term " old school horseman" alot because I value their experience and way of teaching so much. Mel is here to better your riding!

Two groups will be available

10 am " hill top group"- this group will work on bettering your seat and balance at a walk, trot and pole work. Get more comfortable with your mount for in or out of the ring situations. Mel has a knack for moving people right along!

1pm " first flight group"- this group is for the advanced riders walk, trot, canter and jumping. Wether you are looking to move up or get some tlc Mel will focus on fixing bad habits, giving insight to a better and more confident ride.

We all could use a little lesson and learning so this is a great opportunity from a valuable horseman!

Limited spots so please contact me asap for details

A minute to catch up ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ˜ the horses are always hard at work but this summer is keeping them busy

We did slap together a last minute hunt team with anna woody on Gewehr, faith lacorte on connor and olivia on her own horse Fitz. Two devon veterans and one newby. They looked absolutely stunning and the girls were eager despite the FRIGID DOWNPOUR all day/night. Though we looked the part the queen ๐Ÿ‘‘ herself said NO devon ribbons this year and planted the breaks at the second fence. G isnt one to stop, but simply put we have good days and bad days as they also do. Very unfortunate and im sorry for the girls but they stil looked amazing. Just not our devon year

Monday the horses loaded up and made their way to participate in the Radnor Memorial day parade! Sally smith and her mini me Daley looked adorable in their matching shadbellies decked out with some American flag swag. I threw lemons for a little bit of a whirl wind asking her to parade but she took it all in like the bestest girl!

We have been full throttle with the bar rides!! Almost 2 a week every week since the weather has finally broke.
A few new comers have stopped in for lessons and hacking this spring and glad to have great new peoples!

Please keep in mind of the upcoming events!!

Radnor races 2026 was full throttle for me

The day started off with the junior beginner pony races. Where my freak of a 27 year old pony who is healthy as a horse ๐Ÿ˜ just missed winning with his 12 year old rider by mere nose hairs. Ty has not raced since 2011 when I was 15.... but he didnt miss a beat. It was pure nostalgia for me to be walking him in the paddock for another kid.

Then off to the thoroughbred side saddle race. We had 5 thoroughbreds running. Brielle had a comfortable as ever round on red( giantinthemoonlite) who doesnt ever get an award for being in the front, but an award for the cutest expression. Anna woody had a challenging ride on Gewehr( gun lobby) who still thinks shes ready to run the god damn derby. Anna worked hard on her mount but big kudos for a strong, calm and impressive ride. Sydney Pemberton had her first taste of the side saddle races after her and her mom drove up from VA to race. Sydney took connor ( Leadingthelight) and they settled into eachother like two peas. Sydney gave him a great ride, chasing the other top horse nose to nose at the wire. I couldn't be more thrilled to give her that first ride. Susan oakes made a quick stop in PA to pilot haze( noodle w**d) aka the fright train ๐Ÿ˜…. Haze was ready to eat up the radnor course and Susan couldn't have looked cooler. Susan and Sydney battled doen the stretch to the wire where haze was able to nip connor for the W. Lauren apple helped keep the peace out there on jessie lampes cheetah beach ๐Ÿ™

Lastly we gave the non thoroughbreds their own race. Audery Buchanan brought her famous Lucas who is always the crowd fav. Sally smith lead the field with her big white horse Harvey, sarah Pemberton took her fav JCF horse, waylon, for her first time around radnor, Mary Musheno had a lovely borrowed mount from CM farms, amy and her sweet chunky boy blue, Christina Mulqueen made the drive with two mounts, one shared to our olivia, and super proud of faith lacorte for her first ever race win on our confetti. Confetti has been practicing her need for speed and wasnt going to miss her opportunity. Great job faith and ALL of the ladies who worked so hard, traveled so far to help me put this crowd favorite together.

Thank you olivias family for putting together our jump coop farm tailgate, radnor hunt races for catering to the side saddle ladies, equine exchange and black diamonds for the sponsorship, all the extra hands we need to stay afloat and the insane teamwork these ladies have. To think of the amount of ladies we have added to the side saddle world over the last few years means so much to me
