Halifax Dog Squad fosters could use some Purina canned dog exploring food. We are totally out. All the dogs like a little wet food with their dry kibble.

Our rescues need a little extra protein especially when they have been homeless for a long time. We do that by adding some canned Purina food to their kibble but right now, we are out. When grocery shopping, add a can or two to your cart and drop it off at Viny's in Halifax. He has generously offered to let us use his restaurant as a collection point. And while you're there, pick up one of his scrumptious pasta dishes or his outstanding chef's salads. Viny's is definitely the place to go... and try out his mini Frutopia ice cream bar. Along with chocolate & vanilla, he changes the Gelato flavors almost every week!

We're in a bit of a pickle and need your help. Our trusty Dog Squad van, which is basically a magic carpet ride for dogs to their forever homes, has hit a snag with its air conditioning system. Vicki tried to MacGyver a solution by rolling down the windows, but Mother Nature decided to play a prank on us and swept our paper towels out of the van while we were driving. Luckily, we had some fans on hand to keep the dogs cool, and an extra fan in the front seat blowing warm air, because who doesn't love a good hair dryer effect. We desperately need to fix the AC to prevent any discomfort for our furry friends and volunteers. If you're feeling generous, we'd be forever grateful if you could donate a reliable vehicle to the Halifax Dog Squad, which would earn you some major karma points and a hefty tax deduction. In the meantime, we're counting on your donations to help us get the van back in tip-top shape and keep our canine companions and volunteers happy and healthy during transport. HELP US FIX THAT AC!

Happy Independence Day. How about rescuing a dog from Animal Conrol, giving them their independence from a small cell next to numerous dogs crying and barking for their freedom.
