Happy Gotcha Day, Zoolah Binks! 🐾💕
One whole year of endless love, laughter, cuddles, playtime, adventures, walks, and kisses. I'm forever grateful that you found me.
A year ago today, I was walking one of my client's dogs. I was originally supposed to walk her that afternoon, but our schedule changed to an early morning visit. We were taking our time, enjoying the peaceful morning, when a kind man stopped and asked, "Do you want a puppy?"
I was completely caught off guard because... who does that happen to?! 😂
I politely said no, but told him I'd be happy to post her on my business page and help find her the perfect forever home.
Then he brought her out.
The second I saw her, my heart melted. She was my dream dog.
My mind was racing...
I can't have a puppy.
I have boarding coming up.
How will I manage my business?
I've never owned a dog before.
Can I really do this?
She's so beautiful... I'll make sure she finds the best home.
I shared Zoolah everywhere. Before long, people started commenting:
"Looks like she found her mama!"
"That's your dog!"
"I think she already found her forever home—with you."
I sent my husband a picture of her, and without hesitation he replied:
"That's our dog."
Later that day, we picked up Zoolah and brought her home.
She settled in almost immediately, as if she knew she belonged here all along. Over the past year, she's filled our home with so much love, joy, laughter, and a little bit of chaos. I truly can't imagine life without her.
Sometimes the best things in life find you when you aren't even looking.
