Hey everyone! I have some great news. We added another barn on to the tour today. But here is the exciting news. We added a church onto the tour also. That’s right, this year we’re gonna be a Barn/ Church Tour! This is the United Presbyterian Church on Chicago Rd. It’s the oldest church in the county and just loaded with history. It was also a stop on the “Underground Railroad. I’m so excited!

I LOVE this place!

We (the Barn Tour Committee) had a barn Tour organizational meeting tonight. The tour is going to be August 8th, 2020. It will be held in Somonauk and Sandwich Townships this year. There are 5 confirmed locations (so far), one location has two barns. There are several more locations that will possibly join soon. It sounds like there are going to be some really cool activities at the barns. We are in the very early stages of planning so more details will follow. Stay tuned! Same bat time, same bat channel.

This year’s barn tour will be August 8, 2020 (2nd Saturday in August) from 9am till 4pm. A nice selections of barns in Somonauk and Sandwich Townships in the South east corner of DeKalb County has been selected. See you there!
