Meet Bullet, a resilient and lovable 10 month old 50 pound pup with a story of survival. Bullet has a facial deformity and scar from being shot in the face before coming into rescue, but it doesn’t slow him down one bit. He has overcome a difficult past and is now ready to find a family that will love him for the amazing dog he is.

Bullet has been neutered and is current on his DA2PP, Leptospirosis, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations. He has tested negative for heartworms and intestinal parasites. He is currently taking doxycycline for anemia and continues to do well.

Despite everything he has been through, Bullet is full of life. He is a playful, energetic puppy who loves to run, play, and enjoy every moment. His happy personality and resilient spirit make him a joy to be around.

Bullet is looking for a loving home where he can leave his past behind and spend his future surrounded by care, fun, and companionship. If you’re looking for a special puppy with a big heart and an inspiring story, Bullet may be the perfect addition to your family. ❤️🐾

The Fourth of July is almost here! Please remember that Somerset Animal Clinic will be closed on Friday, July 3rd.

If your pet needs:
💊 Prescription refills
💙 Anxiety medication for fireworks
🐶 Prescription diets or other medications

Please call or stop by before July 3rd so we can make sure your pet has everything they need for the holiday weekend.

🎆 Fireworks can be frightening for many pets. Keep your furry family members safe by:
• Keeping them indoors during fireworks
• Making sure collars and ID tags are up to date
• Providing a quiet, secure place where they can feel safe
• Never taking pets to fireworks displays
• Contacting us before the holiday if your pet may benefit from anti-anxiety medication

⚠️ Rabies Alert for Atascosa County ⚠️
A wild fox in Pleasanton has tested positive for rabies after biting two people, who are now undergoing treatment.
Please remember to avoid contact with wild animals, especially foxes, bats, raccoons, and skunks. If your pet has been exposed to wildlife or is not current on rabies vaccination, contact your veterinarian right away.
Rabies is a serious and deadly disease, but it is preventable with prompt action and proper vaccination.
If you or your pet are bitten or scratched by a wild animal, seek medical or veterinary care immediately and report the incident to local authorities.
Stay safe and keep your pets protected. 🐾

Officials say the incident happened on June 19 in the 6300 block of State Highway 97 in the Pleasanton area of Atascosa County.
