🐶💙 A Huge Thank You to the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies! 💙🐶
We’re incredibly grateful to the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies for awarding us a grant that allowed us to provide new Kuranda beds for our shelter pups! 🐾💤

These beds are not only comfy and safe for our dogs, but they also help ensure that our shelter stays in compliance with inspection and safety standards.

Thanks to this support, our dogs are resting better, and that makes a world of difference while they wait for their forever homes. 💙

Say hello to Dude, a 3-year-old neutered male Shepard Mix with a whole lotta love (and energy!) to give. This fun-loving, hyper goofball was found as a stray in Somerset County and has been calling the shelter home ever since. But what he really wants is a forever family to run, play, and snuggle with. ❤️

🏃‍♂️ High Energy Alert!
Dude is made for adventure – whether it’s hiking, jogging, or zooming around the yard, he’s always ready to go! He thrives on activity, so an active family would be the perfect match. His dream day? Long walks, a game of fetch, and some quality cuddle time.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Best Fit:
Because of his high energy levels, we recommend a home with older children who can keep up with him. Dude seems to get along well with other dogs, but we do require a meet-and-greet to ensure everyone gets along.

We’re currently unsure how Dude feels about cats, but no worries—our staff would be more than happy to perform a cat test if needed!

🐕 Walk Lover (and Puller!)
Walks are his absolute favorite activity—but his excitement can lead to some pulling on the leash, so a bit of leash training will go a long way for this enthusiastic boy.
