Yesterday, we visited The Seeing Eye Headquarters in Morristown, NJ. After an educational program we received a private tour of the veterinary hospital. We also got to meet a few Seeing Eye puppies in training🐾🐾 If you would like more information about the program, puppy raising or donating, please visit their website seeingeye.org

We hope everyone is having a nice Summer. How is it the end of July already?

We would like to take this opportunity to update you on a few upcoming dates that the hospital will be closed. For dates not listed below, we will be open normal business hours. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the office.

Saturday, August 9th - The hospital will be closed. We will be traveling to the Seeing Eye Headquarters in Morristown, NJ. For those of you that do not know this, we have quite a few Seeing Eye puppy raisers in the area. We currently have 6 Seeing Eye puppies being seen at the hospital. For more information about this wonderful organization please visit their website at seeingeye.org

Monday, September 1st - The hospital will be closed for the Labor Day holiday.

It’s a HOT one today🥵🌞

🐶🐱🐾PET SAFETY REMINDERS:

Never Leave Pets in Vehicles: Even a few minutes in a parked car can be deadly.

Provide Shade and Water: Ensure pets have access to fresh water and shaded areas at all times.

Avoid Hot Pavement: Pavement and asphalt can burn your pet’s paws. If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their feet.

Limit Exercise: Walk pets in the early morning or late evening and keep outings short.

Watch for Heatstroke Signs: Excessive panting, lethargy, drooling, vomiting, or collapse may indicate heatstroke. Seek veterinary care immediately.

It is going to be HOT and humid these next few days!! Please remember that our furry friends/family are susceptible to heat dangers too. Please limit their outdoor activities, especially for the brachycephalic breeds, be aware that pavement can heat up and cause burns to sensitive paw pads and do not leave your pet unattended in a vehicle.
