Dewey & Maverick have an important announcement! They have two kitty siblings they’ve been fostering who are looking for their forever home 🐱💕 If you are interested, please contact for more information!
❤️ Here is their story:
Minnie (f) & Kirby (m) are two foster friends with a really unique connection! Kirby’s biological brother, a kitten named Popcorn, was found outside in Galloway back in August with no mom as an infant. He was luckily taken in by Minnie’s mom, a cat who had just given birth that same week or so in AC. She fed Popcorn and raised him alongside her kittens, so Minnie actually grew up with him. So they (kind of) share a brother!
We actually didn’t even know Kirby existed until December, when we found what turned out to be Popcorn’s real mom and another kitten around the same age. That kitten was Kirby!
Kirby had a damaged eye and was super petrified of everything, whereas his mom was great with people, definitely a pet that someone had just left outside. When he came to me in Dec to be fostered with the other kittens, he was never feisty, just absolutely terrified of me. He wouldn’t let me watch him eat, hid for HOURS, and would just shake uncontrollably if I tried to hold him. Within about a week, though, Minnie was the one who brought him out of that. She would snuggle w/ him, bathe him, and like patiently wait for him to play with her. It was the absolute sweetest, most wholesome thing ever.
One by one, everyone got adopted: Minnie’s biological brothers, her mama cat, Popcorn, and even Popcorn and Kirby’s mom cat, while these two have been waiting in foster care.
Kirby is now soooo well adjusted. While he doesn’t have the same fearless energy Minnie has, he is a completely different cat than when he got here! I didn’t even think it was possible for him to blossom like this after living outside with basically no socialization for months and possibly even trauma from humans or other animals to his eye. Minnie taught him how to be a kitten and I would love to find them the perfect forever home together. They are used to dogs, other cats, and gentle kids!
