Good morning! We're talking about our favorite topic...worm tea! A good batch of brewed worm compost tea gives a vigorous boost to all kinds of plant life! Have you tried it yet? It's the absolute best liquid fertilizer one could use. Here are a few ways it's helped our own plant life:
Used on the stems and leaves, beneficial bacteria ward off or destroy harmful organisms that may otherwise disease the plant. It dissuades insects and pests from making their homes on your plants.
We have poured it into the soil to feed the plants or trees roots. Worm tea delivers a total package of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, bacteria, and nematodes right to where the plant can immediately absorb it.
We've soaked our seeds in it prior to planting which gives them a full head start on inoculating the seeds from damaging bacteria or pests.
It's good to prepare the area you plan to plant by turning your soil and watering it down with worm tea. It assists the whole area to accept young fragile plants without causing shock. The tea creates a living environment that is better for planting than depleted soil, or dirt.
We talk more about using worm tea on your lawns later, but using it will encourage rapid new growth.
Using it in your compost pile will encourage faster decomposition.
Just so you're aware, worm tea has been used to clean up landfills and toxic dump sites, to include nuclear sites. Where there's been polluted soil, worm tea neutralizes heavy metals and metabolize both carbon based and non carbon based chemicals. Crazy, right? Magic... that's what we call it.
That's all for now. Thanks for all your support. Welcome to our new folks and remember to have a groovy day!
