It’s been awhile since I’ve shared an update, but there’s been a lot weighing heavily on my mind lately.

Small businesses are truly struggling right now. We’ve had so many small businesses around us close down lately — I can name at least five right off the bat. It’s heartbreaking watching people’s dreams come to an end.

Whether it’s rising bills, staffing shortages, lack of support, or something else entirely, it’s sadly becoming the “new normal.” In my hometown, it feels rare to see a business last more than five years. It really makes you stop and question why.

In my own experience, I’ve been slandered by town officials and had my business discredited to the point where I had to prove them I was a legitimate business. Even when they had my files already…. Then, one by one, I started seeing some of my favorite small businesses shut down too.

You really start questioning everything.

Competition no longer feels fun — it starts feeling threatening. You begin questioning your worth, your talent, and whether all the hard work is even being seen. It can become a spiral very quickly.

I truly believe the lack of support is hurting small businesses more than people realize.

I’ve been in my own spiral lately too. Since Sophia has been home, balancing life and running my business has been HARD. Some days feel overwhelming. Some days I feel like I’m failing all over again.

But I still get up.
I still show up.
I still give my all to every dog and every family that trusts me.

And honestly, the reason I keep going is because of the people who truly see the good in me and continue to support my business.

To every person who books with me, recommends me, shares my posts, leaves kind words, or simply believes in me — thank you.

YOU matter to me more than words can describe.

Your support keeps my dream alive, especially on the days when I feel like giving up. I may not always feel recognized by my town, but I will always recognize and appreciate the people who continue to stand behind me.
