Desert Oasis Chesapeakes/Kennels My husband and I got into breeding Chesapeakes just after we were married in March of 2013. We breed Okay! I have to be honest here, I never wanted a Chessie!

I know it's hard to believe, but I had heard enough RUMORS about them as well as personal experience to try and talk Nathan out of getting a Chessie! (For those of you who didn't know Max originally belonged to my brother in law Nathan.) I had my dad's experience with his Chessie lashing out at my pregnant mother, and a Chessie I had met at my work, who I was informed would often snap at his owner

for seemingly no reason. And living with a dozen nieces and nephews I didn't see how a Chessie would fit into the family. Though I did stop persisting and actually found a breeder just to have a puppy around. BOY was I ever wrong! A Chesapeake raised with the right surroundings is an AMAZING family dog. Max really has a one of a kind attitude and Kyra does as well. But be aware these are NOT first time dog owner dogs! Nor are they a great dog to be left alone at a farm! THEY NEED TO BE SOCIALIZED!! I now have two Chessies! I love this breed and I want to share them with EVERYONE!! Look for our first litter in 2016! All of our dogs will be health tested.

There is nothing like researching and finding your first purebred dog to start your program. You think you know all the right questions to ask, and you think you know exactly how to pick the best candidate.
Sometimes though, God laughs at you and shows you that you still have a lot to learn.

Kyra you may never have been the foundation I needed for our kennel, but you were the girl I needed to meet. You gave me one beautiful litter and you taught me so much. I was sad and elated to have given the opportunity to have you love someone else and show them the love you showed me for a short time.

Thank you to the Ribail Family for loving her for me and showing her all the best parts of life.

This sweet girl was going to be a part of our lab program. Unfortunately she didn't get the chance and we decided to not add labs to our kennel
She was born Sept 4th 2020. We got her and her sister. Her sister has found a loving home. Now we would like the same for Ms. Nyx.

She is a doll of a dog that prefers kids. She isn't dominant and gets along with all of our other animals.
She is a purebred lab, but smaller. Around 45-50 #
