Meet Digit & Dactyl: A Bonded Pair 🧡

Digit (orange male) and Dactyl (orange and white female) are polydactyl cats, with extra toes and the names to match. They were found living on the streets of North Wilkesboro with their three kittens. Sadly, two of the babies didn't survive. Once we learned of this, we pulled the family to safety, and the surviving baby is thriving in foster care.

Both cats are completely vetted: spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped.

These two are incredibly affectionate with people, and just as devoted to each other. They're constantly wrapped in each other's arms. They must be adopted together. Two extra-toed, extra-loving cats are ready to melt into your home and your heart.

Adopt Ava 🥺

Some people think the hardest part of fostering is letting go. But sometimes, it’s seeing their soul, knowing the loving companion they can become, and wishing others could see it at first glance, too, instead of labeling them by their initial shyness before they’ve had a chance to feel safe and show who they really are.

This is Ava after just 1.5 weeks of getting used to a new space. She’s still shy, but give her a little time and she’ll go from wanting nothing to do with you to demanding attention and love. ❤️

This is why videos are so important. Cats can clam up in an adoption center, and their true personalities don’t always shine through right away. Shy doesn’t mean broken, and taking time to trust doesn’t mean they won’t make wonderful companions.

As fosters, we see the cats they become when they feel safe. We know how much love they have to give. We just need someone willing to give them that same chance.

Ava is a beautiful older kitten who loves other cats and kittens. A home with another cat is where she would thrive most. And those eyes? They stare straight into your soul. 😍

She deserves a home that will give her a little time to settle in and show just how much love she has to give. Maybe that person is you, reading this post and feeling a little connection to her already. ❤️ Maybe you’re exactly the person she’s been waiting for.

🐾 Meet Dactyl & Digit! 🐾

This bonded pair of 1-year-olds each have 7 toes on their front feet! 🧡 They're incredibly sweet, love attention, and are happiest sunning side by side.

Rescued from the streets of North Wilkesboro, they were flown to us by generous Pilots N Paws volunteers. Now they're ready for a home of their own.
