Our sweet Puffin is officially ready for adoption! ❤️

Thanks to your incredible donations, we were able to get Puffin the eye removal surgery she needed. Now she’s feeling so much better and is ready to find her forever home.

Puffin is SO affectionate, chirps all the time, and absolutely adores other cats. She’s happiest with feline friends, but dogs? Not so much. 😂

She is such a sweet, loving girl who has been through enough and truly deserves the very best home. If you’re looking for a special cat who will shower you with affection and fill your home with little chirps, Puffin may be your girl.

Today is National Nonprofit Day, and Feline Rescue in the Ferry is proud to be part of a community of people working to make a difference for cats who need us.

Feline rescue is about much more than finding homes. It means taking in cats who may be sick, injured, abandoned, overlooked or simply running out of options and giving them the care and time they need.

Behind every successful rescue is a network of volunteers, fosters, donors, veterinary teams, adopters and supporters who make the work possible.

Nonprofits don’t exist without people willing to give their time, resources and heart. Every donation helps provide care. Every foster opens a space. Every adoption changes a life. Every volunteer makes the workload a little lighter.

Today, we celebrate the nonprofit community and everyone who chooses to make a difference.

Croquette is a little beauty with a BIG personality, and she’ll be available for adoption at the end of next week!

When you adopt, you save two lives: the life of the cat you bring home and the life of the next cat we’re able to take in because you’ve created space.

Our goal is not simply to find homes for our cats. We want to find families who are ready to make a lifetime commitment. That means providing a safe, loving home and being prepared to meet their medical needs, both routine and unexpected.

That is how we help reduce the number of unwanted pets: by adopting responsibly and choosing families who are truly committed forever.

Because our cats are committed to you forever, too. They will give you a companionship, love, and bond you never dreamed possible.

Building confidence takes time.

Saoirise, our beautiful black girl, used to be incredibly skittish. She could have easily been labeled “shy forever,” but we gave her what she needed: time, patience, consistency and love.

Little by little, she learned she was safe. And now, she’s showing us just how far she’s come.

Never overlook the shy cat. With the right person and a little patience, they can become confident, loving and completely adoptable.

🍊🍊 DOUBLE THE ORANGE, DOUBLE THE FUN! 🍊🍊

These two orange brothers are almost 4 months old and are officially accepting applications for their forever family. ❤️

Like all orange cats, they're currently sharing one brain cell... and they use it while wrestling, running and seeing who can climb the highest.

They're the perfect mix of curious, goofy, and sweet. When that one shared brain cell finally needs to recharge, you'll find them curled up side by side for the sweetest naps. 🥹

They love:
🐾 Chasing each other through the house
🐾 Inspecting everything they probably shouldn't
🐾 Wrestling until they're exhausted
🐾 Napping together like little angels

Fixed, microchipped, up to date on shots.

Kitten season is in full swing, and the calls for help seem endless. Every day brings another litter of orphaned kittens, another injured cat, another family asking if we can take one more. We wish we could say yes to every single one, but the reality is that our ability to help depends entirely on the support of our community.

As a nonprofit rescue, we don’t receive funding to do this work. Every bag of food, every can of formula, every veterinary bill, every medication, and every life we save is made possible through donations from people who care.

Fosters are just as important. Opening your home, even temporarily, creates space for us to rescue another animal in need. Without foster families, there simply isn’t room to save more lives. You provide love, safety, socialization, and a chance for these kittens to grow up in a home instead of a cage.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, now is the time. If you’re unable to foster, a donation of any size truly makes a difference. It helps us say “yes” to the next kitten, the next emergency, and the next life that deserves a chance.

Kitten season doesn’t stop, and neither do the calls for help. Together, we can make sure more of those calls end with hope
