🚨🐴 Can your horse load when it really matters?

We’re kicking off a Monthly Trailer Loading Session at the barn — and this is one you don’t want to skip.

Whether your horse walks right on or thinks the trailer is a portal to another dimension… this is a safe, supportive time to practice, improve, and build confidence. Because in an emergency, loading isn’t optional.

✨ First Session Details:📅 May 3⏰ 2:30 PM📍 At the barn

We’ll have Ron Senior joining us for this first session to offer guidance, troubleshooting tips, and helpful insight if we run into any sticky spots.

If there’s enough interest, we’ll even pull out multiple trailers so horses can experience different setups (huge confidence builder 👏).

💡 Bonus: Ron Senior may also share some basic first aid knowledge — just another valuable tool to have in your back pocket as a horse owner.

This is about:✔️ Confidence (for you and your horse)✔️ Safety & emergency preparedness✔️ Building real-life, practical skills

Drop a 🐴 or comment below if you’re interested so we can plan accordingly!

Let’s make this a regular, valuable part of our barn routine

Spring is starting to show up at Bell Oaks Stables 🌷

The clocks moved forward this weekend which means one of the best parts of the season is back… longer evenings at the barn.

More daylight for rides after work, sunsets over the pasture, and a little extra time to just slow down and enjoy being with the horses.

Spring might bring a little mud and a lot of shedding, but those longer barn evenings make it all worth it.

What’s your favorite part of spring at the barn? 🐎🌅

Week 3 - Mid-January reminder 🤍

5 hours is a win.
One visit is a win.
Starting now still counts.

There’s no “behind” in this challenge — just showing up.

If you post a pic, tag so we can celebrate together 🐎

If you’ve spent any time with your horse this month, you’re already doing this right.

Small visits add up.
Connection > perfection.

Week 1 check-in 🤍

Just a reminder that anything counts.
10 minutes grooming counts.
A quiet visit counts.

Showing up matters more than doing it perfectly.

If you share a January horse moment, feel free to use
so we can cheer each other on 🐎

HOW THE JANUARY HORSEMANSHIP CHALLENGE ❤️~YES it starts today!~❤️

Winter can make consistency harder, so this January we’re keeping things simple and supportive.

Here’s how the January Horsemanship Hours Challenge works:

🐎 THE GOAL
• 🎯 10 hours total in January
• 🧢 You can track up to 20 hours if you want
• This is optional and just for fun

⏱️ WHAT COUNTS

Any intentional time with your horse counts:
• Riding
• Groundwork
• Grooming / care
• Hand walking
• Stretching / bodywork
• Quiet time or just being present

Even 10 minutes counts.
Cold days count. Short visits count.

📝 HOW TO TRACK
• Grab a personal tracker from the barn
• Take it with you and fill it in however you like (colors, notes, photos)
• This is for you — no need to turn anything in

🪵 COMMUNITY BOARD (OPTIONAL)
• There’s a January Hours board in the barn
• Add your first name and check off a week if you spent time with your horse
• No totals. No competition. Just encouragement.

🤍 IMPORTANT TO KNOW
• There is no “behind”
• You can start anytime in January
• Showing up matters more than how much or what you do

This is just a gentle winter nudge to stay connected to your horse and the barn.
Join in however — or whenever — it works for you.

🎉 Happy New Year from the barn 🎉

As we step into a new year, we’re grateful for the horses, the people, and the moments that make this place feel like home — even on the cold days.

Thank you for being part of our barn family and for the care, kindness, and connection you bring here.

Here’s to another year of learning, growing, and spending meaningful time with our horses 🤍🐎

Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and horse-filled New Year!

As the year comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on all the ways people showed up for their horses — in big moments and quiet ones alike.

Early mornings, late nights, muddy boots, small victories, hard days, and the simple choice to keep coming back.

These moments don’t always make headlines, but they’re the ones that matter most.

Thank you for being part of this barn community and for everything you bring into this space 🤍🐎

❄️ January Winter Horsemanship Hours ❄️

Winter weather can make consistency hard — so instead of focusing on what you do, we’re focusing on showing up.

Starting January 1st, we’re doing a Winter Horsemanship Hours challenge:
• 🎯 Goal: 10 hours in 30 days
• 🧢 Track up to 20 hours if you’d like
• Totally optional, just for fun and motivation

✔ Ride
✔ Groundwork
✔ Grooming & care
✔ Hand walking
✔ Stretching, bodywork
✔️ Quiet time, just being present with your horse.

If you showed up, it counts.
Even 10 minutes counts. Cold days count.

Trackers will be available in the barn this afternoon. Grab one if this sounds fun to you or have fun and design your own tracker🤍

No pressure, no competition — just a reason to stay connected to your horse this winter. If you want to show up as a group, sign your name on the January Horsemanship Hours sheet hanging in the break area and check the box each week you’re here! If you prefer to do it incognito just for yourself, no need to sign the sheet, just grab a tracker and know we are still here quietly cheering you on and supporting you!

If you post pics or share on your socials this month be sure to tag so we can all celebrate with you! (I posted an example of the tracker we have here waiting for you! Get creative and make it your own!!)
