As the fair continues to grow, we are continuously looking for people to join and help make the fair a success. Are you interested in volunteering? We have a couple of options for you. The fair board of directors currently has a couple spaces to fill. We are also starting a new fair board volunteers aspect of the board, that we are also looking for the community to consider. Let’s talk about the differences. A Fair Board of Directors member is expected to make as many meetings as possible, and helps make final decisions for the fair, as well as work within the inner workings of the fair. This is an elected position by the current board. A fair board volunteer will be asked to attend meetings as able, bring ideas and suggestions, and then be a part of the team dedicated to helping make the fair happen! If you have more questions, contact the page! If you are interested in the Board of Directors, please message the page, and expect to attend October 6th for the board election. Board meetings occur in Mrs Gerke’s classroom at Smithton High School.

The Smithton Fair raises money to support students, the school, and the community. Tonight the fair donated $750 to the City of Smithton. They hope to use these funds for the park! We look forward to continuing to work with the City of Smithton to build community!

THANK YOU!! We greatly appreciate the community and county’s support! We had another great year, the last couple of years have been full of change and growth. With your support we look to continue to grow next year!! All the money raised goes to support scholarships at Smithton and in the county, as well as various community needs! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!!

Today is pie auction and contest day! Pie turn in at 430 at the Depot, auction at 7!! Money raised goes to scholarships at Smithton and in the county as well as supporting community!!

Today is the day!!! The fair kicks off tonight with the parade starting at 6:30!! You may see some familiar faces leading the parade. This year the grand marshalls are Bob Bremer and the Smithton Lady Tigers Soccer Team. Bob Bremer is a long time Smithton native and huge supporter of the fair. He will be pulling the Smithton Lady Tigers Soccer Team! This soccer team made school history and was the first girls soccer team to make it to state!

The parade will start at the old soccer field go up to Washington Street and then back down Chestnut

Do you have what it takes?? Let’s hear you Saturday, July 12th!!

Prelim rounds start at 4 pm at the pavilion! This is judged by the judges. Based on the total number of entries up to five people will make it to the next round.

The top five will then sing again at 6:15 and get voted on by people’s choice.

The top two will then sing at 6:45 pm on the stage.

You can either use music karaoke style or play an instrument!
