🐾 BRUSHING IS ONLY HALF THE JOB! 🐾

Doodle parents, are you familiar with the BRUSH & COMB technique? ❤️
In this video, you'll see our groomer using a long-pin slicker brush to work through the coat in small sections, followed by a metal comb using BOTH the wide and fine teeth to check for hidden tangles and matting.
✨ Brush a section.
✨ Comb it out.
✨ Check your work.
✨ Move to the next section!
This technique is important for Doodles but applies to ANY pet with thick, long, curly, or fuller coats!
⏰ Wonder why some appointments take a little longer? Because 5-STAR QUALITY takes time! We don't believe in rushing through a groom. We want every baby leaving our salon looking AND feeling their best!
🚨 Remember: When matting is severe or tight to the skin, a shave-down reset isue often the safest and kindest option.
NEED HELP WITH HOME MAINTENANCE? Don't be shy! Stop by and ask one of our 7 groomers about the right brushes, combs, and techniques for your fur baby. We're always happy to help!
❤️ At Paws N Claws, we're here for more than just a pretty haircut. We're here for healthy, happy coats!

Everyone meet Brillo. Brillo has been a long time client that sees Tanner for nail grinds. Not every client gets to make our page but when our other groomers sneak a picture while they are getting their services done we take advantage of it. Brillo is the sweetest old man and Tanner and him just cuddle when he is getting his nail grind done.

Chloe was in for her brand new fluffy winter cut. Chloe has very deceiving hair. You look at it and feel it and say oh its matted she is gonna have to be shaved. However his groomer Tanner took a little extra timw to blow out the dirty coat and give her a bath and a little brushing after she is dried and she is tangle free. We try not to shave unless its necessary and in her case it was not necessary. Take a few extra steps a d you can get that fluffy cut the pet parents love to see. She is such a pretty girl and so well behaved for everything.
