🐶 DOGS - If a dog weighs more than 50lbs, and has been here for more than 30 days, you pay the whatever the weight is! (Example: Biscuit is 61lbs = $61+tax)
🐈‍⬛ CATS - Halloween in August - 50% off adoption fees for black or mostly black cats!
🐰 SMALL ANIMALS - Get a free starter pack with your adoption, which could include hay, pellets, and other helpful pet supplies!!

If you scan the Cats page on our website, you'll see TONS of cats are available for adoption, and many are part of the Clear the Shelters August promotion! Currently, 58 fantastic felines are ready to head home and 21 of those cats are 50% off! Plan a visit to meet some of them😻

As you might have guessed, we're flying through litter due to this late-summer cat boom! Donations of Fleet Farm branded unscented, non-clumping litter are incredibly helpful. If you'd prefer we do the shopping, consider supporting us with a gift card to Fleet Farm instead!

BOGO CATS?! Yep, you read that right!

Right now, we have far more cats in our care than we’re used to — and we’d love to see twice as many of them heading home. ❤️

Many of you may not know, but WCHS always offers BOGO cats: adopt one cat and the adoption fee for a second cat is FREE!

Why consider two? For many cats — especially kittens, young cats, bonded friends, and cats who enjoy feline company — having a buddy can be a wonderful thing. Two compatible cats can:

🐾 Play together and burn off energy
🐾 Keep each other company when their humans are away
🐾 Learn appropriate play and social behaviors from one another
🐾 Provide each other with comfort, enrichment, and companionship
🐾 And, of course, give you twice the purrs, head bumps, and ridiculous cat antics

Not every cat wants a feline roommate, and our team can help you find the right match. But with so many wonderful cats currently waiting for homes, this might be the perfect time to make room for two.

WCHS is deeply honored to be the recipient of a generous gift made in memory of Linda Gavin, a partner and co-founder of Tails & Trails in Kewaskum, who passed away earlier this year due to ALS.

It was clear from the moment we met Linda's family that her love for dogs permeated everything she did.

Warms thanks to owner Ali, T&T staff, and of course, the Gavin family for directing support to our shelter, touring us through your incredible facility, and for taking Hard Hat down the trails!🐾❤️
