🐾 MEET DANCER 🐾

This 1-year-old Labrador Retriever mix is a 35-pound bundle of joy with a gentle heart and a fun-loving spirit. He’s a quiet companion who enjoys going for walks and already has great leash manners. While he can be a little shy at first, he warms up quickly and loves spending time with people!

He’s full of playful energy and enjoys running and rolling around in the grass, and he even participates in lively dog playgroups (though he may show a bit of dominant personality with other pups).

Transferred from a Texas shelter, he’s now ready for a fresh start and a loving home where his sweet nature can shine. 💛

Frannie, one of our first transported beagles from Ridglan Farms, is up for adoption!🐕

Frannie is a "best fit" adoption, which means that we will review all adoption applications and select a home that we feel will be the best fit for her needs and lifestyle.

Animal viewing opens at 1pm today!

The Washington County Humane Society is getting closer to adopting out its latest group of beagles rescued from Ridglan Farms as the Center for a Humane Economy announced on Monday that the dog breeder and research facility in Blue Mounds would be winding down its operations and selling the remaining 475 beagles at their facility.

🌭🐾Our pups at the shelter have a special request—and it might surprise you! 🐾🌭

We are currently in need of hot dogs, which we use as high-value treats for training and for giving medications 💊❤️

By tucking medications into small pieces of hot dog, it helps our dogs take what they need stress-free so they can heal and get ready for their future homes.

It may seem simple, but something as small as a hot dog can make a huge difference in a dog’s journey to adoption 🐶✨
