๐ A Letter to the Person Who Took Our Trailer ๐
There are consequences to your actions.
That trailer wasnโt just a trailer โ it was our lifeline. It held everything we need to show our rescue dogs at events: our custom tent, nearly all of our large dog crates, and essential supplies for our fosters and their handlers.
We spent countless hours customizing that little trailer to make it efficient, functional, and welcoming. We even named her Sparkles.
But Sparkles was more than that. She helped ease the physical burden for our volunteers โ saving them from hauling around multiple 35-pound crates and heavy supplies to every single event. She made it possible for us to focus on what really matters: helping dogs and cats find their forever homes.
When you took Sparkles, you didnโt just take a trailer.
You took away our ability to help dogs like Lyndy, a young German Shepherd who spends her week in boarding. Her only chance to meet people and maybe find a forever home is at our Saturday events. You took that from her.
You took from Otis, a sweet hound mix whoโs been waiting over 150 days for his forever family. He depends on the shade of our tent and the comfort of our large crates while he waits to be noticed.
You even impacted the three puppies we had to leave behind at a rural shelter because we had to rush back to salvage what little was left behind. And the sick puppy we had just taken in who needed quiet care โ he was instead carted around while we filed police reports and tried to process the devastation of losing Sparkles.
We are a 100% volunteer-run organization โ no one here is paid. Every single person donates their time, energy, and heart to saving dogs and cats in need. When you took from us, you stole from people who give everything they have to help animals who canโt help themselves. ๐
There are consequences to your actions โ and right now, weโre the ones bearing them.
