The Queen of Accessories has entered the chat on our Fresh Face Fridays! Introducing Amanda Cline (Smith)!
We love Amanda for all her beautiful grooms and the extra touch she puts on each one! We got to catch up with Amanda and her is what she had to say:

💜 What is your favorite breed and why?

Amanda: My favorite breed is a Bichon Frise because I love grooming them and they are so cute

💜 How long have you been grooming?

Amanda: I have been grooming for 8 years

💜 What is the story behind the glasses you always feature?

Amanda: The accessories that you see are usually extra items I receive from Bardel Bows subscription Club Bowdacious

💜 What is your favorite grooming accessory and why?

My favorite grooming accessory is either my Jirpet neck dryer or my SlickAir Hairbrush dryer. Those two I like most because it helps give a good finish to the dog’s coat.

💜 What is a fun, weird, or interesting fact about you or activity we would never guess you also do!?

My hobby is, I love to bake. Sourdough bread and pies are my specialty.

It’s officially Thursday, which means it’s time to tame the wire-haired terriers. There is nothing quite like the transformation of a terrier on grooming day. We start the morning with a dog that looks like a lovable, chaotic little tumbleweed who has survived a minor electrical storm. Fast forward through the bubbles, the blowouts, and a very precise game of “please stand still for two seconds,” and suddenly they look like they’re ready to judge all the other dogs at the park.

Clean, coiffed, and officially ready to tackle the weekend early. Watch out world, the terriers are looking sharp today! 🐕✂️💥

It’s , and today we are letting the accessories do all the talking! ✨🐾

While a clean coat and a precision haircut are the foundation of a great groom, the perfect accessory is what takes a transformation from “great” to “absolutely jaw-dropping.” Whether it’s a perfectly sculpted bow, a vibrant seasonal bandana, or a touch of pet-safe glitter, these final touches are the exclamation point on a fresh groom! 🎀🎩

From mud-monster to couch-monarch—the ultimate glow-up is real! 🧼✨

Let’s be honest: our dogs have a secret, full-time job. It’s called finding the exact patch of fresh mud, swamp water, or mysterious backyard dust the absolute second we turn our backs. One minute you have a majestic, fluffy family pet, and the next, you’re looking at a certified creature from the swamp.

But that’s where the magic happens! Cue the dramatic transformation music. ✂️🛁

The grooming process is a wild journey. First, there’s the “betrayal eyes” when they realize they are heading to the tub. Then, the chaotic splash zone that completely soaked the walls (and us). Next comes the blow-dryer blowout that turns them into a walking, barking dandelion and finally, the precision sc******ng that reveals the beautiful, soft, smells-like-oatmeal-and-berries pup we know and love.

Monday Motivation is here with all these gorgeous grooms! 🤗

There is nothing quite like the energy of a fresh week in the grooming salon. The shears are sharp, the shampoo smells like a tropical vacation, and our coffee is currently running through our veins at Mach 10. Bring on the matted doodles, the dramatic huskies who want to sing the song of their people, and the tiny chihuahuas who rule the world with an iron paw.
We are ready for ALL of it!🫶💜

New Fresh Face Friday with Nick Petravich! Many of you have seen Nick on stage competing and now it’s time to catch up and learn more! ✨Chicago Dog Groomer✨Nick Petravich 🏳️‍⚧️

💜 What is your favorite breed and why?

Nick: “Poodles! But Newfoundlands have really grown on me after grooming so many of them- they really are big happy bears and their trims are very satisfying!”

💜 How long have you been grooming?

Nick: “I am 8 years out of petsmart grooming academy” 😎

💜 Who is a groomer that inspires you or you look up to?

Nick: “Marci Wanta! Especially as a salon owner I’m in awe how she manages a business while also growing SO much so fast- she’s always willing to try new breeds and she inspires me to keep working toward my goals!”

💜 What is one piece of advice you have for anyone new wanting to compete in grooming?

Nick: “Find someone who has competed before to help walk you through everything day of-and ask questions if you need help in the prep area! 99% of people are happy to help if they’re able to.”

💜 What is a fun, weird, or interesting fact about you or activity we would never
guess you also do!?

Nick: “I buy all my heat packs from a woman named Judith on Etsy-l buy them for me, as gifts, I think l’ve bought 7-8 since 2019 from her.”

Transformation Thursday 🪄

Watching the weight melt away, seeing those bright eyes peek out from the scruff, and feeling that soft, fresh-clean coat is magic. Because every dog deserves to feel comfortable in their own skin (and turn a few heads while strutting down the sidewalk, too). 🫶💜
