PLMR is a 501c3 dedicated to rescuing pregnant dogs from high-kill shelters, and helping with the care and early development of their puppies to jumpstart them to being great pets. “Our mission is to be a “small batch”, high quality dog
maternity rescue with a focus on early puppy
development using brain stimulation techniques in daily
training sessions to enable the puppies to be placed in
responsible homes, and become wonderful
family members to their human adopters.”

Do you want to be part of this litter but are not ready to adopt???
Would you like to choose a puppy to name???

Adriene Alpert Cardan started us off by making a generous donation and naming one of our sisters “SADIE” 🌸

For a $50 donation to PLMR (to help get the parents of these puppies spayed and neutered) you, too, can choose a puppy to name!!!

We have 2 boys and 1 girl who would be thrilled to have their first name be from you!!!
See their pics below!!!

Comment here if you are in!
-Identify the puppy you choose as #2,3,4 by the order of pictures, and the name-
#1 is now SADIE🌸

***Please Share”*** Available puppies!!

Here are the 5 pups of the “Jumping Bean” litter!

They are labeled “boy” or “girl”. At this time they are 11 weeks, and between 5-7lbs. They are all sweet and appear very healthy! Parents are shown here- dad is a pure bred Miniature Pinscher, and mom is a Maltese mix. Both under 20 lbs. These pups should mature in the 15-25lb range, staying on the smaller side.

Let us know if you would like to meet them!!

RESCUE FRIENDS- CONTACT PERSON NEEDED
WE need a small bit of help from a rescue person in Fresno.
Do you know anyone who could give some puppy shots and help us ensure the parents of this litter get spayed and neutered? We will cover all costs, and provide a donation.
Please help us collaborate and get the job done!
Thank you!!

MINNOW, OUR DISABLED PUPPY:

Minnow was just returned to us. His people loved him, but as he grew he developed a “gimpy” leg. They had him 7 months, and consulted with a vet who did lots of X-rays and told them he needed a $10,000$ surgery.

And so he came back to us…

He now has an exaggerated limp, although it does not affect his happy personality! We were very worried he might be suffering, so we got him to Dr Novy ASAP.

Dr Novy had met him as a tiny puppy, and was surprised to see how his leg had grown so wonky. He did a very thorough and challenging exam and said “this dog is not in pain”.

Amputation had been all of our thought, because we can’t afford the specialized orthopedic surgery, but would do what it took to keep the little guy out of chronic pain. Dogs can lead terrific lives with 3 legs!

Dr Novy said “do nothing now”, wait 3 months and we will re-evaluate.
We are starting our own physical therapy by letting him have time to run and explore, play with little friends, and we are going to start him swimming.

He was living in a small apartment, not getting out, and we think movement will help balance his muscles better.

He is crate trained, potty-trained, loves other dogs and people, and is only 11 months old!!!
We would love to find a foster for him during this time period, so he can enjoy the love of family while we help him become his strongest self.

Would you like to be part of his healing journey?

All costs would be covered by us, and you could show this little guy that even imperfect animals deserve love!! Please reach out if you would like to meet Minnow 🥰.

Rescued as an adult, and a mother of 9 puppies birthed under deplorable conditions, “Zuma” is the poster child for what “maternity rescue” means…
4 years ago my daughter adopted her- she was so shut-down she would not walk- my daughter carried her in and out of the house. She did not urinate/defacate for 3 days!!!
We thought there was something horribly wrong with her!
We were re-assured that she needed to “decompress”, and that turned out to be true.
In 3 week’s time she would walk on her own, but showed no signs of joy.
In 3 month’s time she was just beginning to wag her tail a little.
My daughter had faith, and Zuma blossomed!
Today she is the BEST, most loving and easy-going girl!
She is a precious part of their life together, and is loved dearly…
She truly is their first child..

PUPPIES!

We have 2 beautiful, sweet 12 week old females that are looking for their families!
The husky-mix was born in a family and raised with kids, is submissive and energetic. She would do great in an active household with children and other dogs.
The (guessing!) shepherd-lab mix is a gorgeous, intelligent girl who is also active and more of a leader- she wants to chase balls, and bond with her person. She was found abandoned in Bakersfield as a little puppy, and has lived at the ranch with the husky litter growing up.
They are getting used to horses, love playing with multitudes of big dogs, and sleep kenneled at night.
These girls are the perfect age to start learning how to be good little citizens and members of a family.

We do have a litter of small-sized puppies coming to us next week if that’s what you are looking for!

Please reach out to meet our puppies!!!!
