Say hello to Dixie and Rusty, the ultimate pony pair joining our rescue crew!

We're getting them all settled in and comfy before scheduling a vet extravaganza - think aging, vaccinations, dental assessment, and farrier work, because ponies love a good pedicure too. Dixie, our gorgeous palomino, is rocking a fluffy coat that's hiding a skinny figure, and Rusty, the eternal bachelor, is finally taking the plunge and getting gelded. We've got a refeeding program in the works for Miss Dixie to help her reach her ideal weight.

We know budgets are tight, especially during the holidays, but if you can spare a donation, we accept Zelle and PayPal.

Thanks a million and stay tuned for updates.

We’re super excited to announce the adoption of our beautiful red head Rosie! She is joining Shakira at their new home and both are settling in nicely. Shakira was adopted earlier this year, but stayed at LBL until yesterday.

So happy for Gabi, who we know will take amazing care of them. It won’t be the same around here with the 2 gone, but we’re excited to see how they progress in their new home.

Isn’t Fall a perfect time to adopt a horse? Our adoption fees are low as finding them a good home is our priority.

Here are a few available for adoption:

Mystic is a beauty and is available as a pasture pet/companion horse. She is in her late teens/early twenties and healthy. No extra care is needed. She has been labeled a ‘bronc’ so we are not adopting out as rideable. She bonds with mares as well as geldings. Easy to halter, requires dormgel for farrier trims and an overall sweet heart looking for a person of her own.

Dot has healed nicely from her scary spider bite over the summer and she’s ready to find her new home. Mid to late teens and we were told she is broke to ride. Sweet as can be, loves to be sprayed with the hose and is very bonded with Tango, the mare she came in with. Dot is an easy keeper, barefoot but needs dormgel for trims. She is beautiful!

Tango is also mid to late teens and super sweet. Easy to halter, easy to trim and an easy keeper. She has a short stride and may have some arthritis in her front, but we were told ahe is broke to ride She loves Dot but think she could bond with another horse. The only con with her is she likes to kick at the mare in the next stall during feeding time.

Rosie is a ranch favorite and comes with a somewhat clean slate. Previously from an abuse/neglect case she can be shy at first but warms up quickly. She is about 11 years old and is our stunning red head who sometimes gives the farrier grief with her hind hooves. Nothing time and effort can’t fix. She has not been ridden but should make someone an amazing horse with training.

Lacey is a branded mustang in her early 20’s with a lot of energy! Another sweetheart who loves to be groomed and loved on. Was not broke to ride, but is great on the ground. Beautiful mover who round pens herself.

If you can’t adopt, please consider donating or sponsoring one of the rescues. Your donations go directly to vet, farrier and feed and Is extremely appreciated!

It’s been a busy summer for us here at LBL. Brittany and I celebrated 10 years of having our nonprofit running and I disappeared for 3 weeks this summer to celebrate a big birthday. 😊

It never fails, when one of us is out of town, something dramatic happens and I am so proud of how Britt managed this challenge.

I will attach pictures to show you what Britt dealt with. Our rescue was shut down for quarantine until negative test results came back. Our concern was strangles or pigeon fever. Thankfully, it was neither and Dot is doing so much better.

We believe It could’ve been a bite, snake, scorpion or spider.

Dot continues to heal and every day she shows improvement.

Pictures are not in order. Britt actually aspirated vial after vial to get the pus/Infection out. It was touch and go for awhile as Dot had some stability issues with the Infection.

We’d love to welcome you out to meet our available rescues. These horses have been failed by humans and they have so much to offer. They all deserve a forever home.

I’m posting Mystic again, she really needs a forever home as a companion horse or a gorgeous pasture friend!

Mystic is off the feedlot and has been with us the longest. She’s late teens, beautiful mover, easily halters! She does require dorm gel for farrier work. She is up-to-date on vaccinations (April 2025), but did not require floating.

Mystic is not rideable! We’ve determined she was used as a bronc and is not safe to ride. She will not be adopted out as a bronc either. She gets along great with mares and needs to find her person.

We want to introduce you to our 2 new horses who have joined us at LBL! Meet Tango and Dot, both mares in their teens and both with very sweet personalities!

They’re a bonded pair so we’re taking them out individually to get more confident being apart. They’re still nervous but we expect them to settle in nicely over time.

The vet was out mid-July for their vaccinations, worming and an overall health check. We don’t typically get horses in who aren’t thin and needing a special feeding program, but vet suggests a reduction in feed for these two! So it’s all new to us!

If you’d like to schedule time to meet them, please let me know.

OMG, we’re coming up on our 10 year anniversary since LBL was created!!! What a milestone for us! I wish I had a number of how many horses have come through our rescue but each one of them we loved. Many found forever homes, some took a piece of our hearts when we lost them, but the memories we are left with warms our hearts.

We need to make room for helping abused and neglected horses! Our stalls are full and every horse here deserves a loving forever home!

We have 3-4 horses who would make amazing companions or pasture pets, additional horses that are projects and ready to be taken to the next level and we have 2 new additions recently added who are settling in and allowing us time to get to know them, their personalities and their quirks.

All have recently been vaccinated, teeth floated if needed and vet checked either end of April or mid-July. Our farrier comes out on a regular basis so their hooves are maintained.

Help us find them their forever homes! Please reach out to schedule a time to come meet them!

And a HUGE thank you for the years of support! ♥️
