The Bacon family has been involved in production agriculture for more than eight generations. The family's main focus is raising superior genetics to market to others. The operation takes great pride in selling bulls to the commercial cattleman, and show heifers and market lambs to 4-H and FFA youth. As we’re washing buckets today, we wanted to remind everyone to clean your sheep’s water buckets on a regular basis!

A quick rinse every day—and sometimes multiple times a day during these hot summer months—can make a big difference. Water buckets collect feed, dirt, algae, and slime much faster than you think, and sheep are much more likely to drink when their water is fresh and clean.

Keeping clean water in front of your sheep helps support:
✔️ Better water intake
✔️ Better feed intake
✔️ Hydration during the summer heat
✔️ Overall health and performance

So don’t forget the barn dishes this weekend 😉
