Summer Days are upon us!☀️🕶️🐾

While we want you to enjoy these warm days with your beloved fur babies, heat is a very real threat to your pets! Animals can’t sweat the way we do, and cooling down can be a challenge for them.
☀️ Provide plenty of fresh water at all times!
☀️ NEVER leave your dog in a hot car
☀️ Hot asphalt can burn paw pads
☀️ Antifreeze is deadly and immediate vet care is necessary upon ingestion
☀️Excessive exercise in the sun can cause heat stroke.

Hondo was in for his final puppy vaccinations yesterday! Hondo was on a puppy plan with us, which means he got a deal! Here is what our Puppy Plan includes!🐾🐶♥️

♥️Physical Exam: A complete exam on your first visit and follow-up exams with each puppy booster. These exams may catch important health problems early and are an opportunity to discuss potty training, nutrition, behaviors, and any other issues or concerns.

♥️Vaccinations: These begin at 8 weeks of age, followed by 2-3 boosters. Vaccines Will be given at 3- week intervals for optimum protection against deadly diseases such as Distemper, Parvovirus, and Leptospirosis. A Rabies vaccine is included.

♥️Fecal/Giardia Test: Examination to diagnose possible internal parasites which can impair growth and sometimes affect other animals and people.
General De-Wormer: Helps treat/ prevent against worrs. 2 doses will be given.

♥️Toe-Nail-Trim: Will be given for the duration of Puppy vaccines. Trims help teach good manners for future treatments and handling, as well as good nail

♥️First heartworm prevention FREE!
10% off spay/neuter for good hormonal health up to 2 years of age.

Meet Chaos.♥️
Chaos is a special case. He has been fostered through Tails of Love Rescue by our own KA Krysti. Krysti has provided a loving temporary home for Chaos, and has been to adoption event after adoption event trying to find him a home. He is always looked past because he is no longer a small puppy, but he is a big sweet loving boy.🐾♥️

He needs a home. Chaos is one years old, fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and ready for a family. He gets along with other dogs, has been socialized here in the clinic, and is good with cats. He’s been raised around other puppies and fosters and is an all around good boy. He just needs the right family to love him. Please consider him for your home. EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT‼️🚨‼️🚨
Many of you know Chris, who has worked with us for quite awhile now! Chris actually started as a client, and expressed his love for animals and has moved into being a room tech. Chris is known by our clients for his friendly demeanor and ability to empathize and talk to everyone he meets. His love for animals is undeniable! He has 7 dogs of his own!

His favorite part of veterinary medicine is taking care of animals. He loves when our team is able to diagnose and treat pets and make a difference in their lives.

When Chris isn’t working, he loves spending time with his wife who he’s been married to for 20 years! Thank you for all you do, Chris!♥️🐾🐶🐾

‼️🚨EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT🚨‼️
Christina started with us back in August of 2025! Since then she has pushed herself to learn as much as possible, and has made it clear that she loves animals! From her own words:

“My name is Christina Elenes and II started my new journey on 8/18/25 at Alta Sierra Animal Hospital. My favorite part about vet med is working with the clients and animals. You're constantly learning new things, and it's the best feeling in the world to help an animal feel safe with us and know they are loved. I started my animal journey when I was 12 years old and never looked back. I've been a kennel technician, an Animal Control Officer, a boarding manager, and a grooming manager. I moved up here several years ago and worked as a shelter manager, and now I am at Alta Sierra. I am going to school and training to be a vet tech. Outside of work, I love spending time with my two amazing kids, Darlene and Riley, and my other half, Adam. Family and friends mean a lot to me. We love anything outdoors, hiking, shooting, kayaking, etc.”

If you have livestock, you need to start thinking about safety precautions in the event of a fire or disaster.

Please consider the fact that livestock can be much harder to relocate in the event of an evacuation. Having a plan in place will help mitigate stress on you and your animals.

As always listen to local law enforcement and first responders. We are always available for any questions regarding your animals health and care!♥️🐴🐮🐄🐓🐑
