Their adoption story is a little long, but it's one of my favorites and reminds me that our puppies end up exactly where they're supposed to be ❤️
A few weeks ago I got a message from someone that found us and she explained that orange boy reminded them of their doodle they recently lost and asked if I could send a video of the puppies playing. We talked briefly & I told her how we had lost one of our furbabies this summer & I understood how hard it is losing a furbaby & I would be happy to get a video the next day & send to her.
The next day I received a message from a guy who was inquiring about orange boy. He asked if he was available and if I could send a video. I didn't pay much attention to the name and explained that I had an interest in him, but if it fell through I'd let him know and sent him the video that I had also sent to the first family inquiring. A little later I receive a message from him that said, "OMG, I believe it's my wife that you're speaking to! He looks just like our boy we recently lost!" I went and looked at the names and sure enough, they had the same last name and were both reaching out to me! But, it gets better...his wife and I have the same first name! AND...it gets even better...
He starts telling me about their doodle they recently lost and sends me a picture of him and his dog. He says "this is our Moose that we just lost." I started tearing up because our boy we just lost was also named Moose 🥹 What are the odds??? When I told him that, he said I know we were meant to find you and this was definitely a God thing & meant to be. We want to adopt orange boy!
They had a busy schedule the next 2 weeks so we agreed that they could wait until today to pick up. Over the week we messaged several times and I sent pictures & videos of orange (& green boy since he was still here). I had quite a bit of interest in green boy, but nothing serious and nothing felt right. He joked that if green was still here when they pick up orange, they may just have to take them both. A few days later I sent a video of the boys playing and he responds, "it's decided, we can't separate them, we want them both!"
Through the sadness of them losing their beloved Moose & us losing our special Moose, two families connected and our hope is that orange boy and green boy will bring their family just as much love as their Moose did. We're grateful that they found us & trusted us and we know these two boys are going to be two very loved puppies. Happy Gotcha Day boys, we are so happy you found an amazing family to share all your love with 🧡💚
