The first 2 images shows a uterus affected by pyometra in a cat — a life-threatening infection that can develop in unspayed female pets. The third image shows a normal cat uterus in heat (more swollen then usual but still healthy)
Pyometra can cause severe illness, emergency surgery, and can be fatal if not treated promptly. Spaying isn’t just about preventing litters — it’s about preventing pain, infection, and life-threatening emergencies.
