Officers of the Animal Control program enforce local ordinances and state laws in order to prevent and control rabies. Animal Control Officers:
- investigate all animal bites

A friendly reminder that Cleveland County Animal Services will be closed today, Saturday, August 30th, and Monday, September 1st, in observance of Labor Day. We will resume normal operating hours on Tuesday, September 2nd!

Our featured pup is Billy, a 3-year-old male Terrier Mix, who has been with us since May 28th and is ready for his forever home. His adoption fee is waived for Clear the Shelters! 🎉🐶

Our Story

Cleveland County Animal Services operates the County’s animal shelter where we have dogs and cats that are available for adoption. The cost to adopt a dog is $40 and the cost to adopt a cat is $20. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vaccines and microchipping. The Cleveland County Animal Shelter is open Monday through Friday from 10 AM until 4 PM and Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM. The shelter is closed on Wednesday and Sunday. Cleveland County Animal Control Officers enforce ordinances and state laws in order to prevent and control rabies and they investigate animal bites, reports of injured animals, reports of cruelty to animals, and all complaints related to nuisance or dangerous animals.
